“New owner in recent months. The store has been deep cleaned and tidied. The aisles are clear and stuff is easy to find.
Update: a few months into the new owner taking over and the improvements continue. The whole store has been reorganized, the aisles have been widened. It is a pleasant store to visit.”
“Let me tell you !!! Holy moly these tacos were so freakin good . We got 15 asada tacos and 4 carnitas and they were all $2.49 each ! Yummm it's gonna be our spot . The cashier was super nice and so were the ladies making the tacos”
“this store has some of the best prices in town. I always go here for my quick munchies and they also got a really good selection of alcohol so there's that if you want it but overall the people who own it seem to be a family and they're always really nice I always like to stop next door to the dispensary too”

“Aldis is great for fresh produce. Don't expect name brands and repeated merchandise. This is a place where small businesses are able to give good pricing to the community. Take a quarter for your shopping cart and you always get it back.”
“V Street Market has been my favorite store in the neighborhood for my whole life!I dig their candy sections and they have a pretty decent selection of wines,liquors/spirits and beer.”
“This place is getting it together. Just did a walk through and this owner is pretty cool. He was shiwing me the new plans for the deli and how much more is coming. A couple came in and pitched their new hot sauce. It is now on the shelves. What a great guy. Even if you dont live in Orcutt, you should check this place out. Give it a couple months and that deli should be open.”
“Stocked with everything from automotive to crafting supplies, Dollar General is a very well stocked store. However, don't expect a .99 cent store. Prices here range from "wow, what a deal" to "wow, that's a lot for for that". That being said, I have always found solid products at (for the most part) fantastic price points there. It's like a smaller, less busy knockoff Wal-Mart. And I'm ok with that.”
“My coworkers rave about this spot for lunch and I finally tried it recently! First of all, their tacos are so incredibly cheap. You can choose from a variety of meats and order as many tacos as you want. They also have varying salsa spiciness levels. I opted for 2 carne asada tacos with the spicy salsa and they were so delicious. Each is made to order with the taco meat already prepped. La Favorita is also a market, so there are lots of grocery items to explore as well. Once you order your tacos, you pay at the checkout register. This place is bomb. I'll definitely be back. The service was great and our food came out quickly. Definitely plan to take your food to go- not the best vibe for eating your food in the market.”
“Quick and friendly service. They cash checks, sell water, snacks and they have a very large selection of baseball caps. Lotto, liquor, etc ...all the goodies you find in a liquor/market store but with little or no waiting! Cool place!”

Some normal items I get in other stores weren't offered or if offered didn't have all the varieties weren't available there.”

“I love walmart lompoc, i never had issues with payment, or phone buying-i did bought a phone for my mom, a prepaid one, she's from the philippines, they gave her one right away, its a prepaid not postpaid.. i am pretty sure that this is one of the best I've been.. goodness i went to the one in del amo and other places around torrance.. it was badddddd”

“I don't always shop at Albertsons here in Lompoc, because I can get most of our groceries slightly cheaper at Aldi, Foodsco, and Grocery Outlet. But they do have milk in half-gallon glass bottles, from "Rosa Brothers Milk Company" (huh? Like, a "milk company" is a Dairy, right?). It is expensive, but the milk is really, really good. And even though I can chase lower grocery prices elsewhere, to be fair, it is a joy to shop here. The store is always very clean, the aisles are W - I - D - E, and their staff is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. So today I popped in to get our bi-weekly supply of milk (four bottles), and I noticed that there were still several large pallet-boxes of regular and also fancy pumpkins outside the south doors. So as I trundle into the store with my cart (holding our three empty milk bottles and two carrying racks), I notice a manager-type person chatting with a customer and I say, "excuse me, what are you guys going to do with all the leftover pumpkins? There is no sign with a price on them. I think you gave them away last year after Halloween". And the Manager-Man says, "I don't know what will happen to them, do you want one?" "Yeah", I say. "I don't carve 'em, I cook with 'em." He said, "take one on your way out." So today, in addition to the clean store, wide aisles, and friendly staff, there was also a free pumpkin for me and my family. JamesC ('25...a legend in my own mind)”

“This will always be my first and favorite commissary. It has such a wide variety of goods and Mr. Gui still works here!!!
First time ever at Vandenberg was August of 2011, I had a kid and about to get married after tech school with my high school sweetheart. This store saved me a lot of money because, 21 yr old Nick didn't realize how expensive diapers were.
Fast forward to 2017, came back for the ICBM at the 576 FLTS, same store, same great fresh produce, after being at Minot where most of the stuff is imported. Left in 2022 after being divorce with 2 kiddos. They loved the food here, back when samples were a thing. Always got fruit for the kids and Bri always liked this one.
Now back in 2026, soon to retire, and I will still be using this commissary, which I visited today, and got to say it has expanded, upgraded and even look slightly remodeled...was confused about the bag situation as everywhere else still use plastics.
I am always grateful and thankful for thos commissary.”
