“My husband and I had our wedding just a couple months back in March and it was everything we had envisioned!! Bel Air Bay Club is such a beautiful venue that provides a breathtaking backdrop for the ceremony and such an awesome indoor reception space that acts more like a blank canvas allowing for a couples to really create a space that embodies their vision and personality, no matter your budget. For the couples that our budget conscious, the venue is all encompassing and does not require you add a ton of decor but for those who want to go over the top there is plenty of space to doll it up. We were somewhere in between as we did not want to spend a huge amount on venue decorations, which is why this venue was perfect for us. The staff at the venue from Jenny to Kira were super helpful in answering all of our questions from start to finish. They had great communication from the moment we filled out the inquiry form to the day of our wedding. They did have a few staff transitions but been with that, communication was great in the handoff process. The true MVP was my wedding concierge - she was AMAZING!! She made sure I was taken care of from wiping my tears to making sure I was eating throughout the entire night. She even took a few pics that was such a sweet treat to look at the end of our wedding night. The tasting was really good as well. It was great being able to try their popular selections for food and wine; many of the items we chose for our wedding day. The day of our wedding, the dinner did not wow us like how it did in the tasting but the guests could not stop raving about the flatbread and ceviche during the cocktail hour. As for the "cons".... We wished we had the flexibility to to confirm our rehearsal date/time sooner than 14 days as you can imagine our wedding party and parents had a ton of questions on where to be and by when as they planned out their own travel logistics. It was an inconvenience for members of wedding party who were flying in from out of town to book hotels and flights 14 days out. This impacted their ability to take advantage of our hotel room block and ultimately had the wedding party split up across various hotels in Santa Monica which did not allow for them to take advantage of some of the pre-wedding festivities the day of our wedding. Also, payment options are only limited to check payments. Given our experiences with guests not receiving our mailed save the dates and wedding invitations we were concerned about the checks getting lost in the mail. Luckily all payments were received on time but given the digital era it would have been more efficient to send these payments via wire transfer. General wedding advice, make sure you actually read the contracts in full for all of your vendors. We wouldn't say there were surprises but you should fully understand what the Food and Beverage (F&B) minimum is. We interpreted it as a contract/venue minimum but we found out later it is purely a minimum that can only be reached through food and beverage purchases. It was a slight inconvenience as we were thinking about some of the upgrades (i.e chairs, chargers, dance floor etc.) could be included in reaching this minimum. Otherwise, this venue was amazing and so happy we did our due diligence in researching! BABC met our expectations and if we could do it again....we would pick this place 1,000 times over!! Also highly recommend the passed champagne for your guests upon entry to your ceremony, you won't regret it!!!”

“We held our wedding at Smogshoppe in September 2024 and it was such a special day! First off, the venue is super cool and has all the elements we wanted for our casual, vintage-y, outdoor LA wedding. Both the outside and inside spaces are filled with cool decor and furniture that the team were flexible in setting up in a bespoke way based on our preferences. For a late afternoon/early evening wedding in early fall, the lighting outside was beautiful during the ceremony and cocktail hours, and it just all around made for amazing photos (our photographer also loved the place!)

The whole team are also awesome - professional and positive but chilled at the same time. From booking, to planning, to working with our other vendors and coordinator to make sure our day went smoothly, the whole team were organised, really communicative and incredibly friendly from start to finish. They were always so responsive to our endless questions and were so cool and prepared for anything and everything. We organised our wedding from the UK and they were incredible in reducing the stress.

If you choose Smogshoppe for a wedding, ans are looking for a coordinator, we also would highly recommend Falon B Weddings. She is so good, very reasonably priced and knows the Marmivon venues inside out. You will be in double safe hands!

They had everything we needed and worked with us to create what turned out to be a very successful event. The building is so unique and beautiful and in such a great location. “This theatre has 'recently' been renovated, and looks amazing.

The interior is very up to date, while the displays pay tribute to the illustrious history of the space.

The concessions is VERY well stocked and has a wide range of selections...but surprisingly does NOT break the bank.

Highly recommend catching a show here if you can (or if American Cinematique has anything good coming up)”

“Legacy lounge is a really chill and laid back hookah lounge with nice drink selection and good hookah. They have events which make the place tighter especially Saturdays but it’s now my favorite hookah lounge in LA when I’m out alone. Nice RnB and Soultry music. $30-$35 hookah is not a bad price either.”

“We absolutely loved the 1909! This was the perfect venue for our wedding and was a dream come true! The venue itself is absolutely stunning and so magical. We barely had to dress it up because it was so gorgeous! It’s well kept, clean, and so beautiful with all the trees. We also loved the various locations we had for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. It really made our wedding feel exciting and dynamic. “A spectacular venue! The host, Mr. Cordoba, was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the night--and I had not expected him to be as involved since technically I was the one buying/responsible for the space--so it came as a very pleasant and helpful surprise. There were many tables available as well as chairs, and the space is set up perfectly for a small, medium, or even large-sized event. I also ended up renting a tent, and it offered a great covering for the outdoor space at the back of the venue where we kept food and played games. The speaker system was great too. I ran out of music halfway through the night, so the host also provided some of his own, which was nice. There was a designated bar space which everyone loved as well. Parking is readily available and easily accessible. And all of this comes at an EXTREMELY affordable price. I would happily recommend the space to anyone interested, and I would also love to host another event here at some point!”

“My husband and I stayed there for our 10th anniversary and we could not have been more pleased. Upon arrival the reception clerk not only upgraded us (due to our anniversary) but also sent up a bottle of bubbly that was waiting for us when we walked in to our room. When he heard we had three kids he gave us fun sand toys for them and when we arrived at dinner that night (at the hotel restaurant) he had noted that it was our anniversary and they made the whole night special. We felt like the entire staff went out of their way to make our stay exceptional and it is still one of our favorite memories. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants an excellent and memorable vacation to stay here. You will not be disappointed! You will be wowed.”

They dried the area, cleaned it thoroughly, and managed to preserve portions of the insulation. Their efforts were swift yet steady. It is uncommon to witness such an equilibrium between efficiency and craftsmanship nowadays.”
