The Pierpont Inn is a beachfront hotel in Ventura, offering beautiful ocean views, gorgeous gardens, and an old-fashioned charm. Guests often stay in beautiful, cute, and spacious rooms or cottages, with large and comfortable beds, making for a restful stay. Many appreciate that it is a short five-to-ten minute walk from the beach. The room rates are generally considered reasonable. However, experiences vary significantly. Positive aspects include quick and easy check-in, a typical continental breakfast, and a nice patio and sitting area. Cons noted by guests include very small bathrooms, a loud AC, and no elevator, with many stairs making rooms inaccessible for those with mobility issues. The small pool has very few lounge chairs and towels can be unavailable. Some rooms are described as dated, with maintenance issues like a broken shower. A significant safety concern was raised regarding a person doing drugs in a cottage patio area, which made guests feel uneasy and not so safe, with a perceived lack of action from staff. Additional inconveniences mentioned are rooms not being ready at check-in, a power outage affecting breakfast service, and billing errors where deposits were incorrectly charged, with front desk staff sometimes unable to resolve issues immediately. While many guests love their stay and plan to return for a romantic weekend, others are left disappointed by these operational and maintenance problems.
The stay was quite relaxing and comfortable. The free breakfest was tasty and plenty of things to choose from. The pool was clean and not so cold as I thought it might be, it was nice. Already planning another get away. Thank you

Great location, dated rooms. My floor clearly made sounds as I walked across. I was so sad my window did not open to smell the ocean breeze.
