“I joined CrossFit Sweatshop two years ago, and what stood out to me immediately was the atmosphere. CrossFit can feel intimidating from the outside, especially when you’re surrounded by incredibly strong and experienced athletes, but Sweatshop somehow manages to be both challenging and deeply welcoming. I’ve never felt judged or looked down on—only encouraged, inspired, and supported. The coaches and members have a way of pushing you to grow while also making you feel like you belong. I’ve learned so much here, not just from the coaching but also from the kindness and helpful tips of the people around me.
I had to step away during pregnancy and postpartum after experiencing infant loss. Coming back felt vulnerable—I wasn’t sure what to expect or how long it would take to rebuild my strength. But after just three months back, I’m already lifting heavier than I ever did before, even before having kids. More than that, as a busy homeschooling mom of three, having an hour a few times a week to simply care for my body has been such a gift and has been incredibly beneficial for my mental and physical health.
CrossFit Sweatshop has been more than a gym for me—it’s been a place of challenge, encouragement, and support through different seasons of life, and I’m so grateful I found it.”

“I've been coming to the Saturday 8am classes for the past three months, and it's been an amazing experience every time! The workouts are consistently challenging, energizing, and leave me feeling accomplished. Ramir is an incredible instructor--so motivating, positive, and genuinely inspiring. His playlists are always on point (hiphop, Latin, R&B and pop) and really help push me through the workout. The space itself is clean, modern, and has such a great vibe. I actually look forward to these early mornings--highly recommend!”
“I was nervous going in because I didn't know what to expect, but Sergio's energy and communication during the arms/abs/tread workout was great!
I loved the song choices and how they matched with what we were doing on the treadmills. I also liked how we could choose our own pace (with him giving us multiple numbers as options) for the running/jogging/cool down and it only felt encouraging and motivating. I am impressed at how he was able to time everything so well for both floor and treads with each second. Great job!”

“I’ve been to most of the Lagree classes in the East Bay and CB Fit is by far the best one. All the instructors have been consistently challenging and provide easy to follow descriptive instructions on how to maximize the workout and offer constructive correction for better form. I learned the most from them on techniques and body placement than any other company I’ve been to. Their climb classes are also very energizing and effective, but I’m unable to constantly participate due to shoulder injury. Music choices of all classes are always on point
and their speaker system is set to the perfect sound level.”

“Forma Gym has excellent workout classes with outstanding instructors. Wide variation of classes, Yoga, TRX, Bar, Spin Cycling, Band, Balance, etc. Staff is friendly, cleaning staff does excellent job with classiness.”
“I absolutely love this gym. I love both this specific location and orange theory as a whole. Sadly, left Walnut Creek but loved the experience there.
Short story:
- This location is excellent, the coaches are awesome.
- The workouts are awesome, you get out what you put in, and you almost never have to think at all.
- Music is good.
- Environment is good. Clean, motivating, friendly (coaches and staff), etc.
- The heart rate monitor thing is actually pretty darn cool. I love the concept.
- Treadmills are excellent for people like me with multiple knee surgeries who can't run on concrete much anymore. Very forgiving.
- Love the ability to sign up for classes whenever time pops up in the day.
More detail:
Walnut Creek location specifically: This place is awesome. Extremely friendly atmosphere, very encouraging, even organizes some social events. But the workouts are always awesome (and the music too). I mainly took classes with coaches Angela, Robin, and Jaime. All were fantastic. Really, really good coaches, motivators, and trainers. Made me want to work harder and with better form. I also took just a few classes with Hunter, Miles, and Nate. They were also fantastic, I just didn't take as many classes with them. The front office staff was also awesome.
Orange Theory: I played a lot of sports through high school, college and later years, was an extremely active Marine for 20 years and have generally worked out a fair amount my entire life. I wish I had found orange theory much sooner. By the end of my career I developed a ton of injuries due to poor form, overuse, bad training philosophies (or no training philosophies), etc. Joining this gym I am learning to do things the right way (that I had been doing the wrong way for 30 years), and am basically getting my ability to move and function back. It is awesome. I also love the heart rate monitor thing, which I have never used before. I highly recommend it for anyone, at any level of fitness and with any level of previous injuries. They will work with you and get you back on track.”

“In one word - AWESOME !
A fast, affordable and convenient gym. I don't need a fancy gym with high prices in case of cancellation.
All the equipment in good shape (I'm going to gym for the last 36 years ).
not too crowded. response of the owner for issues - were addressed instantly.”
“Our team loved winning in this gym. I love the three courts they have, so the wait for games isn't so long. The only thing I'll say is that the A/C needs to be turned up, so it's not so hot in the heat of a great game. Thanks!”
“I LOVE CRUNCH FITNESS! Crunch is an amazing gym that offers so much to its members. First off, there are lots of machines, ensuring everyone gets the workout they want. They also have very sanitary locker rooms that include big lockers, bathrooms, showers, face towels, towels, and even a wet sauna and dry sauna. To become a member, you have to be at least 12, so you can start early with ease! Definitely recommend!”

“I've been a member here for over five years, no complaints. Recently, in the last few months, Ive noticed many positive changes! Training staff is more available, I am greeted by the front desk every time I walk in, and at least waves good bye to, and the restrooms have been in tip top shape. I super appreciate all of this.of course, their equipment is top notch and plenty of it”
“I love TruFusion. I’ve been going there for over two months and have seen a lot of progress. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, and the classes are motivating. I definitely recommend TruFusion if you’re looking to try Pilates.”
