“My wife and I have a small kitchen and were always struggling with the space. It has a sudo dining space that is also the pathway to the garage and fireplace area. We originally had a dining table there, but it just felt awkward and we were always really tight on storage. We finally decided it was time to figure out the space. We knew we wanted an island, some additional overhead cabinets, and a dry bar. Initially, we brought our plans to Home Depot to see if it was possible, but ultimately were not able to find anything that would match our existing cabinet color. We loved our cabinets and didn't see the point in replacing or painting them to match new ones. Home Depot was able to confirm the space for us and make some plans, but they did charge a one-time fee to get the process started. If we continued with them, that fee would have gone to paying for the cabinets but if you're stubborn like us then you're SOL.

Anyway, we eventually stumbled upon Elegant Stone & Cabinets. They have great reviews and we see something on their website that looks like it might be close to what we are looking for. They responded quickly to our email to let us know that they had that cabinet in their show room and were welcome to come take a look. We knew it would probably be a long shot and Elegant Stone even told us it wasn't an exact match, but we took one of our cabinet doors off, drove it over and sure enough it was not exact, but it was pretty darn close, actually the closest we'd seen yet (and we'd seen a ton).

We ended up working with Brigitte and she helped us with all of the details. We were even able to match our granite and cabinet hardware. There was no fee for plans and the quote was comparable to the others we received for the project. Brigitte made sure to cover everything, like how the cabinets would look at different dimensions, molding or flush mount, hardware suggestions, countertop overhang supports, outlet locations, existing trim - If you can't tell by now, we were impressed all the way through the process. The installers were professional and efficient, quick to ask questions for our preference on placement and all the little install details. Everything came out great, quality materials and quality staff. And the most important part, my wife is happy :P”
