We received SO many compliments from our guests on how stunning the venue was. Everyone we worked with at The Gardens at Heather Farm was kind, attentive, and an excellent communicator. Throughout the planning process, they were always available to answer questions and offered many helpful recommendations for vendors, which made our planning much smoother. We dreamed of having an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour, followed by an indoor reception, and this venue was absolutely perfect for that. And more! Sean, the owner is a rally nice guy and just made things easy. I recommend this place if you just want a little fun on a weekend or evening to play some mini golf or for a kids party. Doesn’t get easier than putters!”

“Such a delightful tour with a lovely gentleman and lady as our guides. I learned so much about Walnut Creek’s history and life in the 1890s–1920s. The display of old-time tools and icons was especially captivating, quiet reminders of how people once lived. A truly worthwhile stop”

“Encore in Walnut Creek is THE best place to host a kid's birthday party if you want an stress-free event with an all-hands on crew to assist almost every aspect on the party day. We've hosted multiple parties here for our son as and attended quite a few parties and the kids always leave here having a blast and asleep in the car afterwards. From arrival, the crew helps with unloading and getting kids onto the gym mat. The gym time is well staffed and the kids got to rotate across a variety of fun activities. Bonus for parents - we get to observe from upstairs and get a rare moment to catch up uninterrupted while multiple staff members lead the gym activities. The staff even helped me set up our train decor and when I arrived to help downstairs, all I had to do was add candles to the cake! Coach Eric is the best and his crew really shines and makes our parties memorable and stress free each time. Thank you Encore, we'll be back!”

This is a person who got rejected after coming down without speaking with Kim first! Packed up his dogs in his truck and drove to Walnut Creek, Ca! This new review about the drug riddled semi homelessness characters and stealing is such a horrible lie! Rob she told you No, back off leave her alone!! “Boundary Oak is one of the most enjoyable public golf courses in the Bay Area, with a beautiful setting, elevation changes, fast greens, and great views of Mount Diablo. The back nine is particularly challenging. Hole 14, a long par 5, is the toughest hole on the scorecard, while 17 and 18 make for a memorable finishing stretch.
Make sure to stop at some of the elevated tee boxes and take a few pictures with Mount Diablo and the surrounding hills in the background. The views are a big part of the Boundary Oak experience. A beautiful, challenging, and somewhat underrated Bay Area golf course that I always enjoy playing.”

“The best service at a restaurant I’ve received in a very long time. We had a table for 13 to celebrate my mom’s birthday. They kept our cake. Sliced/served the cake. Great drinks. Food was great. The only thing out of everything I didn’t care for was the corn 🤣”

“Absolutely love playing here! Diablo Hills Golf Course is easily one of the best 9-hole spots around. The layout is super fun, the fairways and greens are always in fantastic shape, and you genuinely get a ton of value for your money. Plus, the staff is wonderful and grabbing food and drinks at the Greenery Restaurant afterward is the ultimate way to wrap up a round. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great, affordable game without spending 5 hours on an 18-hole course!”

“I had a wonderful experience here! We came in last Friday night to see Super Mario, and the service was absolutely top-notch. I want to give a special shout-out to a staff member named Michael (I believe that was his name).
He went above and beyond to help my family and me, paying close attention to the small details and handling our food order with so much care. It’s rare to find someone so attentive and genuinely helpful in a busy theater environment. His kindness really made our family night special.
The theater itself was great, but the service is what will bring us back. A huge thank you to the team and especially to Michael for the fantastic hospitality!”

“Great spot to hit a bucket of balls. Added bonus of hearing gunshots from nearby Walnut Creek police shooting range. Well maintained golf mats, tees and automatic golf ball dispensers. Also, can't beat the view from this hillside location.”

The property is very clean, well maintained, and beautiful. Thanks to the outstanding customer service, I left with a very positive impression. “I have stayed at this hotel multiple times before, but a few things were in need of an improvement.

The last time I stayed at this hotel, the fitness center sprung a leak while I was working out. Since then, it has been remodeled. That's the good part. Since the remodel, there are no ellipticals in the fitness center. This is standard in any hotel gym anywhere. Why this gym decided to have three treadmills and no ellipticals is beyond me.

Secondly, the fitness center does not open until 7:00 a.m.. that makes literally no sense, early risers and people traveling on business want to get their exercise in early in the day.

They will sometimes let you in early, but only if the maintenance people are on staff. If they are not, you have to wait.

Also, this hotel still does not have all of its floors with TVs that can support apps such as Netflix. That's pretty standard these days.

Additionally, they got rid of the valet parking that was used in 2024. In 2025, they said that the valet parking was coming back. In 2026, and still has not come back. The underground garage is terribly laid out, and many of the spots too small to support SUVs or minivans.

The hotel is literally right next to Pleasant Hill BART station. That part is convenient. The train goes right by some of the rooms. I would say the windows block out 90% of the noise though.

Also, this is a cash-free hotel. There are QR codes around the hotel which will allow you to tip electronically. Unfortunately, if you failed to look at the employee's name tag, you (were they) are out of luck.

If you prefer to tip in cash for housekeeping or drinks, etc. that means they cannot break a bill at the front desk.”

“Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice, but a little dated. The pool was good, but the jets in the hot tub didn't work too well. The elevator near our room was out of order. Breakfast was good.”
