Was looking for a specific book that I couldn’t find and they kindly offered to order it for me (unfortunately, wasn’t sure I could come again so I refused) but overall, great staff + great book collection.”

“After a disappointing stop at Book Soup, discovering this bookstore felt like stumbling into a hidden paradise. Tucked away down a series of narrow passageways and nestled inside an unassuming little house, it is the kind of place you could easily walk past without realizing the extraordinary treasures waiting inside.

The collection is nothing short of remarkable. Shelves are filled with rare books, first editions, signed copies, and literary gems, each carrying its own fascinating history. Every corner invites exploration, and every book seems to have a story beyond the one printed on its pages.

What made the visit truly unforgettable, however, were the two proprietors. They were incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and generous with their time. They happily indulged my endless curiosity as I asked to see Kurt Vonnegut’s and Charles Bukowski’s signed books more times than I can count, and they shared fascinating stories about their collection with genuine enthusiasm.

I could have spent the entire day browsing, listening to their stories, and admiring the incredible selection. This is far more than a bookstore, it is a destination for anyone who loves literature, history, and the joy of discovering something truly special. It was easily one of the highlights of my trip, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.”

“I only have one complaint about this bookstore, and it's that some of the prices on some of the books are ridiculous. Most of the library bookstores I go to sell books for up to $5, and maybe they'll have one or two special books that were donated by collectors behind Glass cases that are selling for $40 to $60 or something like that. A lot of the books at this library were selling for $12, $8, $11.... I appreciate that it's West Hollywood, but it's still a little confusing when you expect to go to a library bookstore and find these kinds of prices.

Putting aside that one complaint, the selection was excellent, the organization was damn good especially for the small space they're working in, the service was excellent and the young lady working at the shop was knowledgeable...

I'll definitely be returning in the future to look at and pick up some more books, I'm just going to be more mentally prepared for the sticker shock than I was initially.”
