(See so many on this post that are complaining if they don’t get anyone right away to greet them.) It gives me time first to see everything without getting bothered or smothered. I like that. They know I like my space. Been buying JV for many years. Love their boots! Especially when their heels on men’s boots were a bit higher. Have bought at the Soho location too in NYC.”

I like that the men's clothes have a hint of European accents and there is a variety to choose from depending on what fashion mood you are in. The owner was extremely kind and even charged my phone for me while I shopped. Once I was finished I spoke with the owner and we had a great conversation. I would recommend this place especially if you are looking for an outfit to go out in while you are in West Hollywood.”

My 12 Step Store has stood as a resource, a refuge, and a place of celebration for those of us in recovery. RJ, the founder, has put his heart and soul into this vision for over two decades, and it shows in the store’s global reach and local presence.
Are there areas for growth? Of course. Every small business has growing pains — especially one run largely by a single individual trying to balance online operations, in-store customer service, and inventory in a niche space. But that doesn’t erase the impact this store has had on thousands of lives, including my own. To be able to walk in and buy a meaningful gift for someone’s sobriety birthday — and to feel connected to a larger community of recovery — is something truly rare.
We need more places like this, not fewer. And we need to remember that the people behind them are human, too. I’m grateful this store exists and proud to support it.”
“The staff were engaging and super helpful. The design of the store is beautiful and the clothing they have are displayed thoughtfully and arranged in ways that easy to find. The outdoor garden area on the side is so peaceful. The only thing that would make it nicer is to have a couple of chairs out there for a moment to sit and have a breath of fresh air.”

“Lots of stuff to browse on the racks, but stock was pretty limited when I visited. Staff will check in with you maybe once or twice but are pretty hands off otherwise. They have blank tees that you can try on for sizing.”

I visited around 3pm on a Wednesday and there was no wait.

“Awesome new location that’s bigger and better than their older location. Plenty of good pieces for menswear especially shoes, pants and button down shirts. You’re most definitely paying more for the curation of the productions but I found some great boots while I was here. I only rated them 4 stars since they don’t have bathrooms, which is a real bummer for some of us. Overall solid great addition to the neighborhood.”
“I’m honestly surprised by some of the negative reviews, because every experience I’ve had at this H. Lorenzo location has been exceptional. Every time I’m in town, I make a point to stop by, and the staff has always been incredibly attentive, helpful, and genuinely kind. They’ve gone above and beyond—offering thoughtful styling advice and even staying past closing hours to assist me.
Athena, in particular, has been consistently warm and gracious. Despite the store’s luxury offerings, there’s never been a trace of pretension—just a welcoming, knowledgeable team who clearly love what they do. I’ll definitely be back on my next visit!”

I left without breaking the bank and with some very versatile new shorts and shirts. He was very patient with me and so so helpful. I will definitely come back here!”
