“This is a great gym with a friendly atmosphere. No egos here, and it's never busy. Has a good selection of equipment and weights and a great personalized training routine from Terry!”
“CJ is a rare gem in this field. Modest, kind, talented, motivating, no judgment, all heart. My sons and I do strength training and boxing classes with him 2x a week and we look forward to each class. He provides us with a variety of training exercises and allows us to push and determine how hard or light we want to go throughout the session. All with an encouraging smile and motivating words. I started to notice results after only a couple sessions and feel better about my body and core strength without the boring routine of going to the gym each day. CJ is a miracle worker great with adults, teens, kids and people on the spectrum. He’s got motivation of steel and a heart of gold. So glad we found CJ!”
“I started training with Carolyn about 2 years ago. She is beyond amazing! She challenges me at each workout with new exercises. I've had some work-related overuse injuries and she doesn't let that stop me. She changes things up all the time. Carolyn knows her stuff and walks the walk herself. She also has given me nutrition guidance and answered my diet-related questions. She runs a very clean gym and sanitizes everything. I love going to see her! Chasing those endorphins!”
“I feel so fortunate to have found SYNRG Fitness in my search for a private trainer. Holly, the owner, expertly tailors workouts for each client and the results are evident. Never boring, always motivating and challenging, I can see why other reviewers have gone to her for years!”

“I keep coming back to Orangetheory Westlake Village because it’s one of the few workouts where I consistently see results and feel genuinely supported.
I’ve been doing Orangetheory on and off for about 10 years (started at the Northridge studio), and since moving out to the area I’ve been coming to this location more consistently the past few years — and I genuinely can’t recommend this studio enough.
Every coach I’ve taken here has been great, but shoutout to Koda and Julia — they’re amazing. They’re not the type to just stand at the mic and call out times — they’re constantly circulating on the weight floor, helping with form, giving adjustments, and making sure you’re doing movements safely and effectively. I also really appreciate that if you stop for a second (we’ve all been there 😅), they’ll check in and encourage you without making it uncomfortable. It feels supportive, not pushy — and it helps you keep going.
I’ve also dealt with a knee injury in the past, and I really appreciate how willing the coaches are to offer options and modifications. After my knee injury and surgery, I actually started on the bike and gradually worked my way back up to the treadmill once my doctor gave me the green light. I also love that they offer the elliptical as another option — it makes the workouts feel really adaptable no matter where you’re starting from.
A lot of people mention the weights may not feel “heavy enough” if you’re someone who wants to lift super heavy, but for me it’s more than enough. The workout is so well programmed that I still feel challenged every time.
The front desk staff deserves a shoutout too — they are SO warm and welcoming, and they’re flexible and lenient when life happens and you need help with anything. It’s one of those studios where people actually learn your name the more you come, and you start recognizing the same faces in class — it ends up feeling like a little community.
Logistics and amenities are also a big plus:
Easy parking, super clean studio, well-maintained equipment, two single-use bathrooms, two showers (huge if you’re heading to work after), and two filtered water stations.
Ambience is also just… chef’s kiss. Working out under the orange lights at 5:15am hits different — it’s a whole vibe.
Yes, Orangetheory is an investment, but for me the unlimited membership is worth it because the more consistently I go, the more I see and feel a real transformation. I’m doing the Transformation Challenge right now (and part of it is posting a Google review), but I’d be saying all of this regardless — I recommend Orangetheory Westlake Village to anyone who asks what I’m doing for workouts.
If you’re on the fence, just try a class. It might surprise you in the best way.”
“I love working out at this place. All of the coaches are rock stars, they push us to achieve our goals while making it fun along the way. They offer different classes so you can shake up your workout routine or focus on the areas you're interested in. It isn't for the faint of heart, if you're looking for a good, solid workout, this is it!”
“Great gym and with an exceptional staff. The classes are on point and always enjoyable. Suana and showers are always clean.I have been training here for about a decade and the facility is top notch .”
“I found the perfect gym! The classes are geared to over 60 and the instructors are hands on making sure you are safe and motivated. So lucky to have found a gym that meets all my needs.”
