“The owners are amazing. The coaches are supportive. The machines are fancy. The gym is clean. The community is welcoming. Oh, and you have to cancel your class 8 hours in advance if you're not going to go so if you wake up early for your 6:25 class, YOU'RE GOING. Some people may not like this but I actually find that I go to class rather than press the snooze button like I probably would if this was a regular gym. The different pay structure options are refreshing (you can pay for a one time class, a package of classes, or monthly for a certain amount of classes per month. So many choices!) Have concerns about back issues or something else? No problem. Just let the coach know and they'll give you personalized modifications to fit your needs. I really can't recommend this place enough.”

“I take my 11-year-old nephew here for CrossFit a couple times a week, and the gentleman he works with is so good with him. It's almost impossible to get him off the computer and get him motivated to do activities so we really appreciate the effort.”

“This place is amazing for all ages! My son and I have been coming here since 2020…my son has been in all the classes! Each class is perfectly tailored for the age specific class. Coach Cevan is so great with the kids! My son looks forward to seeing him each time he comes! They make us feel so welcome! We have also had 2 birthday parties here which were such a blast! It’s a perfect 2 hours and every kid has the best time! Perfectly exhausted afterwards! LOL! My son was made to feel so special through the whole party! Best place for a kids birthday party in town! All staff members are fun and make each child feel special! I can’t say enough great things about this place! Truly a gem in the community and we are lucky to have this specific “My Gym” in our area!”

“This is an amazing bootcamp training center! By far the best I've ever attended. It's intense, challenging, and completely worth it, especially when you start seeing results. The workouts are always different so you never get bored. Sometimes we train inside and other times we train outside. Miguel, "Marine Miguel," is amazing... I owe my results to his intense workouts!”

“My Curves in Simi Valley closed about a year ago. I'm so happy to be able to go to the Thousand Oaks Curves. Love the workouts, the people I've met, and the owner. Well worth the drive from Simi.”

“The gym is really clean and well-kept, and the staff is friendly. However, the main workout area is fairly small there are limited numbers of equipment. It has also been getting more and more crowded at all hours (likely due to more member sign ups). It's gradually getting harder to justify the prices they charge.”

“Corporate denied my request to extend the hold of my 3 yr pre paid membership because I wasn’t comfortable coming back after COVID so I didn’t go back to Fitness 19 for years and was actually quite upset with them. When I finally considered coming back, Blake, the manager from the Newbury Park location, really went above and beyond to apologize, compromise, and explain all the pros and cons of each membership plan. He is such a kind and considerate person that he made it easy to forgive and forget corporate. I even decided to buy a lifetime membership! Highly recommend Blake! He very knowledgeable, patient, and gives great advice/counsel for on how to buy the best plan or fitness program for you! Thanks Blake!”

“1st time visiting 24 Hour Fitness (Thousand Oaks).Staff was Professional/Friendly when asking questions about this location. As I did a walk around before working out, noticed all body/cardio machines were current or close to it.My workout was 1 Hour and 15 minutes. During that workout, majority gym members (Regulars at this location) displayed gym etiquette. Good feeling when you want a certain dumbell and it is on the rack rather then on the floor throughout the gym.Overall it was a good experience here at 24 Hour Fitness Thousand Oaks.4 Stars because the Gym is really small compared to other 24 Hour Fitness locations which could be an issue when working out at a certain time.I plan on visiting 24 Hour Fitness Thousand Oaks again (Lord Willing).”

“The staff is friendly and helpful, and the nonjudgmental patrons are diverse in age, body type, race, and gender; unfortunately some people choose to sit on the equipment, texting for extended periods of time. Also, the bathrooms have plumbing issues with toilets frequently clogged with tissue.”

“Updated review March 9, 2024...My impression of Golds T.O. has turned around completely. I am leaving my old review for reference but it is completely no longer relevant. This gym offers a wide range of equipment, classes and facilities to serve all walks of life and levels of fitness. In no way do I, at 57 years old / overweight and getting back to a healthy lifestyle, feel self conscious or out of place. The staff is friendly, the equipment is clean and maintained and the locker room facilities are clean. Recently there was an issue with a door breaking in the men's steam room. When I inquired about when it would be fixed, the front desk manager was incredibly professional and service focused in their response.I highly recommend this gym for all as it has the ability to serve all.Old Review for Reference:Please don't go here. I am stuck in a pre-paid membership which was a HUGE mistake. They can't provide basic (I mean VERY BASIC) things like hot water and cleanliness. Yet they are focused on sending me an email 2-3x per day about how amazing the renovation is going, getting a new "executive" locker room (I guess "executives" don't like hot water when they shower) and giving you a bunch of double talk. When you inquire about when the hot water (again a very basic expectation) is going to work, you get a bunch of non-answers..even from the GM William.I understand having limited equipment while the renovation is going on and what the gym is expected "to be" when it is done. But really...focus on fixing the hot water issue (which has been going on for MONTHS) as a priority, then on things like replacing the lockers and renovating.Basics before enhancements...should be a simple thought but they don't get it.”
