“Loved the ambience and the sales associate Brenda was such an angel! We went in store looking for a philodendron/vine-y plant and a nice pot to give as a gift and spent a long time deliberating—must have spent over an hour in the store. Nearly that whole time Brenda was helping us make a decision or offering plant care advice and presenting us with new options! Have never met someone so patient and knowledgeable. We left beyond satisfied with our purchase (pot + plant) which she also potted for us in-store!!

We were debating whether to go to Lowe’s or home depot but decided to stop by Lakewood nursery and boy we’re glad we did. David was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We came in looking for Star Jasmine and David showed us exactly what to purchase, and how to plant and care for them. He is passionate about his work and you can hear it when he talks about the variety of plants and flowers they have. My husband and I mentioned we were looking for flowers that would attract bees and butterflies and took the time to walk us around the nursery and show us exactly what flowers would work for us. We will be back as we continue our gardening project.”

“Everything you need for your flower/plant needs. A ton of selection and huge inventory. They offer wagons to carry what you plan on buying and even golf carts in case what you want is located on the far end of the nursery. The workers are very friendly and super helpful if you have any questions. The prices can't be beat. We have been buying from Martinez nursery for years and will continue to do so.”

“In the chaos after a horrific tragedy, we forgot flowers for the funeral and placed an order just a day before the service, with special requests (no flowers in colors reminding of fire - red, orange etc, soft shapes without dramatic spikes) and they were so kind, and the church was lovely with their arrangements. Wonderful compassion, competence and coordination. I highly recommend Queen's Flowers!”

“I had a great experience with Rusty Edwards at Moon Valley Nurseries. I asked him many questions about different plants and roses, and he was very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. He gave me a good price on the roses and really knows how to help customers.

After I delivered the roses to my client’s house, the client changed their mind and wanted different roses. I called Rusty and he kindly told me, “Of course,” and helped me exchange them without any problem.

“I had trouble with my Husqvarna 450 Rancher chainsaw brake. I disassembled the brake assembly and tried to fix it myself but there was no way. I looked up four shops within 10 miles from home and set out to see who could help me out. So glad B&M was my first stop. Saturday just before closing time Joe took the assembly I brought in and tried for 15 minutes to get it working but there was a strong compression spring that obviously needed a factory tool to compress, line up and install. We looked on the web site and found they only sell the entire assembly which confirmed Joe's thought that it needed to be assembled at the factory. We ordered the parts and the estimate he gave me for the assembly was extremely fair. His employees had locked up and gone home but he stayed and finished up with me. His son even stayed around and chatted. They were both genuine people. The store was well stocked, clean and organized with everything a pro or homeowner like me could ever need. This place is benchmark for how to run a business.”

“Plants By Yours Truly in Huntington Beach, CA, is totally rad! Melissa, the owner, isn't just an awesome human with a bunch of plant skills, but she also stocks super cool home products that keep things natural—no gnarly chemicals like those big-box stores.

Melissa recently rescued my beloved tree of over 20+ years. When I moved, the person I trusted to watch it totally wiped out on caring for it. I was crushed, thinking it was toast. In full-on panic mode, I rushed it straight to Melissa for emergency TLC. A few months later, she shot me a pic of fresh growth—stoked! Now, a couple more months down the line, the tree is almost back to its prime.

Seriously, huge thanks to Melissa for bringing back this sentimental tree that marks all my epic California memories. Plants By Yours Truly is way more than a plant shop—it's a chill spot packed with healthy vibes and great energy.

“This review is for the young man who wears a cap and recently transferred to this location... I sincerely apologize but I cannot recall if his name... possibly Travis or James. I've only seen him in the customer service department. But anyways, I've been to this location twice recently and he is the only one who left a lasting impression/made me compelled enough to write this review (besides this other woman who assisted me during one of the kids workshop days). He has always provided excellent customer care in every way from his level of politeness, attentiveness, patience, and willingness to go above and beyond in all that he does. This man definitely shows he loves his job and really cares about customer satisfaction. I honestly think this store would do so much better if he was slated to become a manager someday. Everyone else seems to keep to themselves or just stand there. He's the only one who acknowledges those who enter the store, says hi to people, and ask if they need any help no matter what time of day he is working. Thank you for all that you do and you definitely deserve a raise, recognition, or a promotion!”

“Great Nursery lots to choose from. Owners are super knowledgeable and friendly/helpful. BTW they recycle the plastic pots so dont pay attention to the labels and prices. You can either call them or take the plant up to the office.”

“We had a group event of 30 guests planned to come and celebrate my sister’s 50th birthday. The sun catcher workshop was unique, relaxing and creative. It is held on an outdoor patio. The tables and materials were organized and ready to go upon arrival. Beth is a patient, communicative, and supportive teacher! Any time I had questions leading up to the event, she was quick to respond. She was very accommodating. Everyone said they really enjoyed it! Beth gave step by step directions. The product came out beautifully! Only 25 guests were able to make it so Beth gave us 5 take home kits. The cost was very reasonable. Parking can be tricky with large groups, but everyone found a space. I highly recommend doing this with a friend or as a group event! You will not be disappointed! It is totally worth it! And I'm gonna feel bad for not remembering this study's name with the lady that's always in checkstand 2. Amazing They're all amazing. But, you know, you have this ones that stand out later's head and um, yeah, militating garden is pretty amazing as well.

I want to personally thank you for over delivering on customer service. My husband does extensive research before purchasing anything. After completing his research, he chose Home Depot to purchase a weed eater, only to be told that the model he wanted was out of stock.

After speaking with Melissa for a few minutes, my husband walked away, assuming that was the end of it. Moments later, Melissa came running to let him know she had found exactly what he was looking for in the back, a Ryobi 40 Volt weed eater that came with a battery and charger for the same price I would have paid for one from eBay and the swap meet at Orange Coast College. I'm glad I bought it from Home Depot because it comes with a 3 year warranty.

Sometimes, the small things that mean the most to customers go unnoticed. I want you to know that your service was truly meaningful to my husband. Those extra efforts, going out of your way without being asked, make a lasting impact.
