  7. dd's DISCOUNTS - 13455 Telegraph Road

13455 Telegraph Road, Whittier CA 90605

    3.9 Good 137 reviews

“This lady went above and beyond for me today while shopping at DDs. A great shopping experience ends bad, so I think !!! After paying with my phone seconds later it was gone. Like a magic trick. I kept going back and forth checking, speaking with the kind representatives. Until a manager came to help review the footage for me, explaining that yes I did put in my pocket. That’s all I wanted to know because even if someone took it I just wanted to be at peace with that. She was so patient with me as I was crying suggesting to go back to look in the car etc. when I realized I went to the little grass area to take my puppy to the bathroom. And there it was right in the grass! Thank you for being so compassionate and understanding and kind. I will find out your name and also give you praise for this. You may think it was a small gesture to just look at the footage for me, but it meant so much. All I could think is I was going to loose all my pictures of my dog that passed and now my new puppy.”

    3.7 Good 63 reviews

“Hello there shoppers. First of all who doesn't like a dollar tree store. By the way I was sorry to see the 99¢ stores closed but if the dollar stores took over I guess I can live with that. Another, thing if any store has the word/ Bible in there, it is well alright with me cause I can't get enough of the word of GOD but I wonder if the Bibles they sell cost only a dollar. What do you think and Is it me or are they coming up with better merchandise in these Dollar Tree Stores?? Well if I'm not wrong I say keep it up Dollar store. The way prices are going sky I'm glad a dollar still buys something, right???? Lol lol. There is a lot to pick from so try it out I think you'll be happy with the choices you have to pick from. Happy shopping. I'm heading out myself to look around at the bargains. Don't forget to treat others as you would like them to treat you. Be safe out there, Holliday shopping can get ruff. ???? Lol lol ??”

  10. Five Below - 8512-A Painter Avenue

8512-A Painter Avenue, Whittier CA 90602

    3.7 Good 112 reviews

“I really love this Five Below location. They are so nice and welcoming. I could tell they care about their customers. Everything is clean and well organized. It is such a beautiful store and I love their low prices. I went in unexpectedly, because I love all five belows and am new to the area. The staff immediately acknowledged me as my husband and I were walking in. I could really tell they prioritize customer service, which is rare nowadays. My cashier was a beautiful lady named Teresa. She was so nice and helpful. I really appreciate her. I could tell she cares about the customers experience and exceeds expectations as well as surpasses the goals she sets for herself. I highly recommend this Five Below store for anyone and everyone. Your experience will be a great one. :)”

    3.6 Good 116 reviews

“I work nights and this was the only place I could go to buy balloons and decorations late night for my kids 18th bday. Their employee Ed was the absolute kindest. He was the only one working a register and had a massive line of customers. I needed 16 balloons. He promised once he cleared the line he would help me and he did. He was so patient and helpful and didn't make me feel bad for coming in so late. He blew up a ton of balloons for me with a smile on his face the whole time. He knew how important this was for me and even though they were at closing he still provided excellent service. Thank you, Ed! I was so stressed out and you made it go so smoothly!”

  12. Best Bargain - 13238 Whittier Boulevard

13238 Whittier Boulevard, Whittier CA 90602

    3.5 Good 85 reviews

“Best discount store! Prices are cheap about $1.29 for a lot of useful items. They have anything you could ever need. They have stuff for your kitchen, car, snacks, drinks, lot of arts and crafts items that are usually pricey, ribbon, gems, beads, craft blades, hygiene items, detergent, clothes like jackets, clothes, socks, decor for bdays, school supplies. I don't know what all these reviews are about rude staff. I've gone multiple times and they have been very kind, greeting when I come in, and helping me out when I'm ready to checkout. There isn't a lot of staff and its a big place, give them some grace. Even with that, they are helpful. They speak English and Spanish, preferably Spanish. This store is better than dollar tree!”
