“During the Redwood fires, I stopped to get gas. Power was out and so credit/debit machines not working. I had just driven 8 hours to get to Willits to check in with my loved ones whose phone were out. I begged them to take a check as I was on EMPTY. Owner said he had never took a check in the life of the business but he would under these circumstances. Natural disaster either brings people together or not!”

“Safeway Willits gas station is way above average.
Clean, easy to navigate newish pumps, wide spacing between pump islands , & pallets of Refreshe water is a good idea.
I bet this station helps keep prices near normal in Willits.
Of course everything North of Willits is frickin' wilderness along Hwy 101.

“When traveling through Willits make to stop at this location as they have a Aztec burrito place in the store, plus some of the best bathrooms in Mendocino County. The service here can vary depending on what is going on that day, seems like some workers get stressed out as this is a very busy and fast paced gas station. Pulling up to the gas tanks here is easy as there is two entries into the location, one being main street exit and the other is the sidestreet which leads to safeway. When heading to Fort Bragg and the Coast this is my go to spot to feel up and grab a drink or two for the 32 mile journey across hwy20. The beer selection at this market is decent as the beers vary from local micro breweries to the good ol Budwiser, Coors, etc.... The items in this store vary from toliet paper to band aids to washer fluid. The soda and drink selection here is nice as you can get different types of soda, coffee, and iced drinks of different flavors. The gas prices here are decent most of the time, so have a discount is a plus and a must. This location allows you to pay at the pump or inside the store. “Drove an hr 30 to get feminine supplies that was an emergency. I checked online and it said the store stays open till 1:00, so I took the long journey and was very disappointed to find out it closes at 12. After calling the employees here who are very nice and helpful, they explained to me that they have tried for supposedly 2 years to have corporate change the hrs and they still have not. At this point it was too late to drive to Ukiah the extra 30 minutes so now I will have to wait till the morning and try the trip again. 3 hrs of my night waisted. Thank you employees for taking the time to speak with me. I will try to contact corporate in the morning. It’s false advertisement and is a very big inconvenience. I originally had a 1* but it’s not the manager or local business fault is what I was explained. I love this business and shop here very often but never this late at night. Wonderful establishment and amazing workers and always great food at the deli, produce, and all around 5*”

“Not always, but the majority of the time this gas station is the cheapest in Willits. A lot of people don't know that because it's a little bit on the edge of the northern part of Willits but I will go by there and check sometimes. Today it was cheaper”

“Amazing unique convenience store. So much to look at. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restroom was very clean. Young lady at counter had long black hair with purplish red streaks. She was nice and helpful. Handicap parking next to store. They will help with gas pumping at request.”
