FirstBank is a well-established bank that has been serving customers since 1963 and is one of the largest privately held banks in the United States. Although the headquarters location does not provide banking services, the bank offers a wide range of financial products, including consumer deposit accounts, home equity loans, mortgages, rental property loans, and comprehensive commercial banking services such as business financing and treasury management. The bank is recognized for its community involvement, having donated over $90 million and countless volunteer hours to charitable causes since 2000. Customers frequently praise the staff for their excellent service. Many mention specific employees who are knowledgeable, friendly, and compassionate. For example, one customer appreciated an employee’s empathetic support during a difficult personal time, while others highlighted staff members' efficiency and willingness to help, even outside regular hours. Several reviewers also noted the helpfulness of the bank’s facilities, such as coin machines and quick service at ATMs, which made banking easier and faster. Despite some minor issues like limited hours on Saturdays, customers feel confident in the bank’s service quality and staff dedication. Overall, FirstBank is viewed as a reliable and customer-focused bank with a strong community presence and committed employees.
Time to change banks after PNC acquisition. Since the acquisition I had a transfer from another bank delayed which resulted in a $30 NSF charge while the PNC bank had my money. I liked the fact that FirstBank was locally owned. Now it's just another big bank from Pennsylvania, of all places.
