“This is the best, authentic Mexican food I've had in Colorado! Highly recommend! Ellicott is on 94, about 20 minutes East of Colorado Springs, and well worth the drive! It's hidden in a spanish grocery store, but the food and service are exceptional! The first mexican place I've eaten where they greet you in spanglish. The place is far enough out of Colorado Springs, that the food is authentic and not ruined by that ridiculous fusion nonsense!...Nothing but amazing, flavorful, authentic food here, and the service is SO impressive. The lady that took our order was SO friendly and cheerful! Great experience for my wife and me! I had the barbacoa burrito, and the meat was cooked to perfection, the sauce was so flavorful! My wife had the chicken quesadilla, and she loved it! We'll be back! It wasn't crowded either!”
“Staff is always friendly and I can’t tell you how many times this place saved me from a long drive into town. Very well stocked with the essentials and some extras I never expect!”
“Salt to needle—this grocery store in Calhan has just about everything you could need! From school supplies to Indian food, birthday cakes, ice cream, meat products, hair dryers, vehicle-related items, vegetables, and even coffee, it’s impressive how well-stocked this small-town store is. There is a pizza and chicken sandwich cafe inside.
It’s an older store, and prices are a bit higher compared to city grocery stores, but that’s expected in a town like this. While I was there, I noticed a steady flow of customers, and kids were happily grabbing ice cream from the machine—always a good sign of a community spot!
If you're in Calhan and need something, chances are this store has it. It’s a convenient one-stop shop for locals and visitors alike.”
