We brought our Honda in for a problem that two other shops couldn’t find, but Castle Rock Imports diagnosed it. We got a quote a year ago and they honored that quote a year later! “This place is amazing. First time in and I was highly impressed. I feel like they weren’t trying to sell me on things that weren’t actually wrong with my car. I feel most places try to do that especially as a woman so it was refreshing to not have that happen. They have a system that will explain all the issues wrong with your car and well as pictures and I really enjoyed that as it can be confusing to know what parts they’re talking about when giving a diagnosis. Everyone is so nice. I talked with Jonathan and Roger and both solid people. Thankful for their help and will definitely be back when I have other car probs (hopefully not anytime soon though ;) )”

“In 2021 we were on a cross country trip when my Tahoe transmission completely died in the middle of nowhere colorado. We got to a hotel and I started researching the area and I kept coming back to High Plains.The next morning I called and described the issue and they told me I was pretty much screwed and I would probably need to have it towed there.Being the defiant person I am I bet them I could make it (76 Miles).25mph for 4 hours and all back roads, some of them were not vehicle friendly, we made it. We rented a car and went on our way. They called the next day and confirmed, the transmission was toast, it needed a rebuild.I told them to do the work, and they said it would be ready for my return 6 days later.Long story short, it was ready and drove great, and still does to this day.We were angry, broke down, stranded, on a tight budget and impatient. High Plains Transmission could have done any number of things to screw us, but they didn't. They were honest, worked fast, did quality work and always very up front about everything. I couldn't recommend them more.”

“The staff was extremely friendly and explained everything to me in detail. They treated me with courtesy and respect (something other mechanic shops often lack with female customers). Jake also quickly got me estimates and sent them to my email so I could look them over. They also made sure my vehicle was safe for travel. The reason for my visit was due to some sort of vehicle malfunction— my back drivers side wheel was completely locked up , I originally took it to Les Schwab because they had done my brakes two months ago and I was certain it was a seized caliper (the wheel started to rotate after unloading it from the tow truck). When Les Schwab found nothing I took it to this shop to have the axel looked at, they also found nothing wrong with the axel and no code to identify the cause of the problem. I still applaud these gentlemen for doing a thorough look over to ensure my safety. This was extremely important to me as I put a lot of mileage on my car and am often driving on the highway at high rates of speed.”

“Breaks were squeaking so I took my truck in assuming I would get my breaks replaced and would magically be told that I need extra services as well… I get a call saying that my breaks are not ready to be replaced and that they have a solid amount of material left. They recommended waiting if I can handle the squeaking for a little longer. I will continue to go here for all my cars needs. Very impressed with the honesty they showed in a market where people get taken advantage of constantly. Highly recommend them.”
