“We celebrated our wedding at The Franciscan Event Center on September 18, 2026, and overall, it was a wonderful experience! The venue is beautiful, and we appreciated having an indoor backup in case of rain. Thankfully, the rain stopped just in time for our ceremony on their gorgeous outdoor patio! The reception area was equally beautiful. While our family and friends handled much of the decorating, the venue did a fantastic job with the tables, floor layout, and overall setup. We appreciated having options for tablecloths, napkin colors, and arrangements. Their attention to detail really showed! Another huge plus was having access to the venue starting at 9 AM, giving our family and friends practically the entire day to decorate for our evening wedding. Although celebrations are limited to six hours, the extended setup time was incredibly helpful. Our DJ appreciated being able to arrive early, too! We especially appreciated their flexibility with special requests. They allowed our two little dogs to participate in our outdoor ceremony, which meant the world to us! Although the dogs couldn't go inside afterward, we understood and arranged for someone to take them home. Having them participate was so important that we would have chosen another venue otherwise. They also permitted a small drone during our ceremony and were accommodating with our DJ, photographer, and limousine company. Now, the food! Absolutely fantastic! They offer several menus and even allowed us to mix dishes from their American and Mexican menus. Our guests loved everything! Several told us it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. Their large on-site kitchen is another great feature, and much of the credit goes to executive chef Maria, who's reportedly been there approximately 25 years! During cocktail hour, while we were taking pictures, guests enjoyed beautifully presented appetizers that everyone said were delicious. Dinner was equally impressive. Staff continuously replenished the buffet, ensuring every tray stayed full and nothing ran out. We also opted for the open bar, and the bartender was fantastic! The entire waitstaff was attentive and friendly. Being family-owned, the venue has a welcoming atmosphere, with many employees appearing to be family or longtime friends. We did have two disappointments worth mentioning. During our reception, a young guest accidentally broke a decorative vase. We understood and paid for the damage without hesitation. However, staff approached both me (the groom) and my mother-in-law in front of guests rather than handling it discreetly. We were also incorrectly told a little girl wearing green was responsible. Based on that information, I approached the wrong family about watching their children, only to later discover it was a boy. I had to apologize to the family, which was embarrassing. The boy eventually apologized to me as well. Accidents happen, but we wish this had been handled more discreetly and accurately. Our second disappointment came days later when we received a call requesting gratuity, something we hadn't been told was separate from our contracted costs. Other venues had clearly explained gratuity expectations upfront. The suggested amount also appeared to be calculated using the entire event cost rather than just the applicable service costs. Better communication beforehand would have been appreciated. Despite these two issues, we genuinely enjoyed our experience and would recommend The Franciscan Event Center! The beautiful venue, exceptional food, accommodating staff, and flexibility helped make our wedding unforgettable. We're grateful to everyone who contributed to our special day!”

“We came here with our kids and some friends a week ago. We were greeted by the owner who asked if he could give all the kids a prize. They each got to pick out a prize from behind the counter and werevery excited about that! They warned us they were short staffed that day and to expect a longer wait time for food but I was very impressed with how quickly the food and drinks came out. Everyone was super nice and we ended up staying for a few hours in the arcade after bowling. We can't wait to go back! Would definitely recommend!”
