Got to be the worst car renting experience ever. Try to avoid renting from here if you can. I received an invoice with many charges that I did not authorize .A $104.23 car rental turned into $304.16 with no explanation as to why I am being charged so many additional fees.Thank you!!!

Very difficult to get ahold of a person to remedy smoking noticeable in vehicle. We rented a Enclave at $864 for 5 days including $300 upcharge since the fullsize was going to be a Corolla. Waited in line 30 minutes - options are to return vehicle wait in line again walk to furthest spot in parking lot OR pay for the rental AND take it to be detailed ourselves. Won't use Dollar again.

Yes I was quoted 300. Was charged over $500. They ran out of cars and despite my pleading they gave me and everyone else in line, Teslas. I get one mile from Pensacola Airport rental and tiny spiders start crawling out of vents. See posted pictures. I turned around and by the time I reached airport to return Tesla. They were crawling on me. Guy at rental desk was rude and acted like he didn’t remember me. Asked how many days did I have vehicle …” 5 minutes”. Questioning me about there really being spiders and how many. Didn’t want to see pics or videos. I will never rent from Dollar/Hertz again. I have contacted customer service and all I get is an apology. Where is my money?! (Have videos too)

Horrible company- money grabbing and exploiting the customer any way they can. Charged an upgrade on a midsize care which Id already paid. Charged for a whole tank of gas rather than just what was used. They charge you if you go beyond the rental time, but when you return the car several hours early. SOL. Never again- I’ll stick w enterprise!

Absolutely not. Rented with dollar and we talked to another man & lady who booked with hertz. We all had rental cars booked for 8:30pm. Arrived to the counter at 8:13pm but, according to the neighboring rental company’s, they went home because they ran out of cars? Do NOT trust them!!! We’re left without a car for our trip after a long day of traveling!!! Waited for an Uber and see dozens of cars in the rental parking lot. Ridiculous. I am very disappointed and will NEVER rent from dollar or Hertz again

Booked a rental car for out-of-state travel, and returned it after hours, dropped the keys in the night box and immediately realized husband left his wallet inside the car sitting on the console (we could visibly see it in the car in the parking lot). Called the local phone number as soon as they opened the next morning and told them about the wallet, and they said they would have the car looked through for it, then proceeded to tell us that the wallet was not there. However, the wallet had an AirTag in it and I could see its location at the airport. After zero return contact from the location manager I drove back to the airport turned on the location app and tracked the wallet down, it had been thrown away and was in the trashcan where they clean cars, the worker had blatantly thrown it away. I had them pull the trash bag and empty the trash bag and found the wallet that “wasn’t there”and their excuse was that the person cleaning it must not have known it was a wallet. keep in mind there’s a visible drivers license and credit card on each side of it! I asked to have a manager call me regarding their employees complete disregard for somebody’s personal belongings and was told I would get a call back and never did. I called and left a message and emailed who I was told was a manager after I was given a business card by a worker and also never received any kind of response. I guess it’s easier to just overlook the employees laziness or take any accountability that what happened was completely unprofessional and not acceptable, than it is to speak to an upset customer, cowardly. I have rented cars since this is happened with Enterprise and they have never done me wrong, so my advice is do not use Dollar, use Enterprise.

My credit card got misplaced they would not except my wife's credit card. Spent an hour on phone jumping through hoops that customer service made me jump through just to deny their customer services way they set up to use my digital credit card to use for rental and my debit card for the deposit..... I never cussed or yelled but they had security follow me while I got a car from avis.... I will never use dollar or hertz rental again in my life..... other companies informed me that they were getting reservations for same day because dollar did not have other customers booked cars so trying to push off on me that they don't have the cars they excepted rentals for.

I will never be renting from dollar ever again. I paid for my rental car up front when I made the reservation and they charged my card almost double TWICE. It was hard to get ahold of an actual human and when I did they would give me a shady excuse as to why I was charged. They issued refunds both times thankfully but it just showed that they were constantly trying to scam me.

Horrible rental company in Kenner, La. Rude hateful employees. Gave a Tesla and no instructions. my daughter reserved a simple corolla. Plus no electric charging stations any where near where she was spending her week for Easter. Horrible . Do not rent from the Dollar rental car if flying into New Orleans.

Avoid at all costs. Staff will mislead you. Corporate is rude and unhelpful. I book a rental for my army reserve weekend (I’m 22), the agent asked if I was on military orders, I said yes. Agent said I would not be charge the “age differential” surcharge of 87 DOLLARS. To my surprise, when I turned in the rental, sure enough $87 surcharge. Called corporate, rep gave me the run around and said I’ll need to talk to that store and see what they can do, on top of that she hit me with the “wElL It WaS a LeGallY bIndinG dOccuMent” referring to the rental agreement that the agent had assured me I wouldn’t be charge an age differential for. I exited the terminal and went back down to rentals to confront the agent in person, to which she responded “well the military should’ve booked the rental for you” no that’s not how it works first of all. Second of all, maybe be more clear when explaining the circumstances to which a fee will or won’t be waived.TLDR: Absolutely the worst customer service with no interest in helping clients or better yet US service members.

Appointment was easy to book and the gentleman at the desk was personable and great getting us everything for the car. We checked the glove box and saw the registration had been expired for about five months...definitely wondering how that went missed for that long but mistakes happen. We went back inside and they upgraded us to another car without issue and that one did have the current registration. Driving the car was great without issue. No issues with driving the car to our destination or the return.

They will find anyway they can to charge criminal fees. I had to deal with a tire that kept going low and I was never able to reach a human being to handle it. They charged me for damage to the vehicle even though no damage was done to it. I'm still trying to reach someone about that. I ended up leaving a message but no one has called me back.
