On March 12, 2023 we had a reservation for 12pm. Arrived and was told their servers were down. Two employees stared blankly at their computers for 2 hours and did nothing. Finally they started checking people in manually. Why did it take so long? The other rental companies werent crowded and it wasnt busy until they let two hours of customers back up!

Showed up with a reservation and was told there were no cars. I was one of seven or eight people, all with reservations, all who didn't get a car. Several of the others were even Hertz status members.Worst of all, the woman at the rental counter was belligerent to everyone in line. She was literally berating the customers like it was their fault she couldn't fulfill the reservations they made. She was pointing at people and yelling at them, saying things like "Don't you look at me that way. Yeah I see you, don't you look at me like that!" and "My manager isn't here, so there's nothing you can do."Then she pulled up a list of names of people who apparently she had cars reserved for (but not any of us who had reservations printed and in our hands). She stood at the desk with her clipboard and pointed down the line "What's your name?" then "Nope, no car here for you!" one by one until she'd pointed at everyone. When asked what we were supposed to do she replied "That's not my problem."I've never had a worse experience with a rental company. I get a rental car a couple times a month, and typically get the cheapest on offer at the airport. After this, I'm avoiding Hertz like the plague, both here and EVERYWHERE. Horrible employee, horrible experience, and I ended up paying over $100 more to get a car at Enterprise with no compensation or even an apology from Hertz.Would have been far better off paying $20 more when I reserved to get a car from a better company.

I booked a 7 seater Nissan at 11 am, drove to hertz to pick up the booked car at 8 pm and was denied. The reason was because they don’t allow car rentals for same day booking. This is very inconvenient and not sure if this is a corporate policy. The lady at the front recommended canceling and booking with someone else for same day booking. So I ended up canceling my reservation and booked with enterprise for same day booking. Not sure why they are okay with losing business.

Caution: if you make a same-day reservation, the Hertz app will allow it, and you’ll have a reservation number, but when you arrive there will be a cute sign at the C. Springs Airport Hertz Counter reading “No cars for same-day rentals”.They have cars outside, but they’re for the next day, not for you. It was 10pm, snowing, so no ride shares would come to the airport. You may be stranded, so good luck!I gave an extra star to support the really rude employee who probably catches a hard time from so many people every day. Not her fault, but her well of empathy has run dry for surprised and stranded customers. She doesn’t get paid enough for Hertz corporate’s shortcomings.

Receiving the vehicle and check in was a breeze. It was upon return where the issues began. I was charged an additional $106 for fuel although I’ve fueled up the vehicle to full. I managed to get a hold of customer service and had the charge reversed. However I can’t imagine how this even happened and how many other people run into this issue. Luckily for me I snapped images of my fuel receipt and the vehicles fuel status upon return. The attendant was a young white male who was very rude. Incident occurred February 7th at 7 am.

We reserved for Colorado Springs airport as the website stated. Once we got to the airport we were told to go to this location, strike one. Once we got to this location which was about a 20 min ride share we were told we had to bring it back to this location and not the airport. We even offered to pay any up charges there were. They would not let me, strike two. I’m not understanding how Hertz is a franchise but does not work together with other locations. Even if I offered to pay the extra. This review is for Hertz corporation as a whole. The two stars is bc the website is misleading and will have you thinking you reserved at the airport when instead it’s 20 to 30 mins away at this location. Once at the location I was told what I reserved wasn’t big enough and they couldn’t rent it to me and they had to put me in a SUV (I was traveling with family). I had already paid for the rental I knew would fit my family. However since it was them who made the decision, I should not have been charged for the difference of the SUV, strike three. With these 3 strikes, I will never put my money towards a Hertz rental again. If I ever am in a Hertz rental you better believe it wasn’t my money that rented it.

I'm active duty military and travelled to Colorado Springs on orders Oct 29-Nov 4. A rental reservation was booked with Hertz as part of my orders request. When completing my travel voucher, it was noted that Hertz upcharged the daily rental from the government contracted price of $40.50 to $90. I have been travelling for the military for a long time and I have never had something like this happen. I tried to directly contact the Hertz in Colorado Springs thinking there must be a mistake. That number just feeds into the national Hertz line. I have been in contact with the Hertz service center three times now to discuss having the charge corrected. Each time I received a different explanation for why the charges changed. None of the three customer service agents appeared to appreciate that this involved a government contracted fee.1. The first person told me that I rented a sedan and not the economy/compact car listed in the reservation, so there is no “upcharge”. First, I was not told at the desk that I was getting a car different from the economy/compact car that was reserved. Second, I did not authorize an upgrade. As an active duty member traveling on military orders I am not allowed to obligate the government with an upgrade. The customer service rep said he would contact the rental location for "more background information" and I should hear something in 7-10 days. As you can imagine, that didn't happen.2. The second time I called I was told the reservation was for seven days and because the car was returned early, Hertz reserves the right to increase the daily rate (penalty charge?). I took a couple of days leave in the area after my duties were completed. When I picked up the car, I requested to split the cost of the rental between my GTC and my personal credit card to keep my travel voucher costs clean. I was advised by the desk agent that the best thing to do would be to return on 2 Nov to close the rental on my GTC and re-rent the car for the remaining time on my personal credit card. I've done this before with no issues so I followed directions. I explained to the customer service rep that I didn't return it early but instead finished the rental on another card using the procedure recommended by their desk agent. Wasn't getting anywhere so I asked for a supervisor. I was placed on hold and then they dropped the call.I called back later the same day and was told by a different customer service rep that the daily rate presented at the time of reservation is just an estimated cost and subject to change. And at the time of rental, the rate was $90 per day. So, you expect me to believe that in the ten days between booking and picking up the car, the daily rate jumped more than double? On a government contract? Seriously?!? I asked for a supervisor again. Told one will give me a call back today. It's past closing time and that still hasn't happened. This has been reported throught the chain of command, but it looks like I am probably on the hook for the $240 Hertz upcharged the contract for. As you can imagine, I am pretty disgusted with the situation in general and Hertz's customer service response. In 27 years of military service, I have rented multiple times while on orders and I have NEVER had a rental company book a rental different from a DTS reservation OR change the costs after the fact. Nor have I ever had a rental company upcharge me when I paid with two different credit cards like this. Like I said, disgusted with Hertz.

Lady was extremely rude. Last person in line and was snappy at me about what line I was in. Assuming I wasn’t “gold member” or something. Have a reservation, but decided she didn’t have to honor it.

Super slow and only one person. Every other rental place here has no line and Hertz line is 8 deep. No movement in the line at all. One person working and takes 20 minutes per person. Absolutely a complete waste of time. Don’t use Hertz.

They have cars available but won’t honor a confirmed reservation completed through Expedia, manager Floyd Roberts wasn’t available at request to combat this and the agent at the counter was helpless and wouldn’t do anything even after I had to Uber 30 minutes and pay $25 to get here

What happened to Hertz? Used to be a great company. I had a reservation at Colorado Springs airport location and to my surprise they did not have any cars available. I waited for Kendra Snorton the manager for 30 minutes and she argued that she had 24 hours to provide a car. Really? What am I supposed to do on a business trip without a car…? She did not care. She said that this is in the terms and conditions which she couldn’t even find. I called customer service. I asked to speak to a manager. She said she would call me back in 30 minutes but never did. Where is customer service? That’s why Hertz is suffering financially.

I had a reservation for Friday - Monday at the Colorado Springs Airport. When I arrived to the hertz counter I stood in the line and waited for the lady to ask if she could help me. She was looking at keys she had in her and and said she would be with me in a minute. I said “ok”. She then asked if she could help me with a very nasty look on her face and a rude tone, I ignored that and said yes I have a reservation and gave her my name she handed me a contract and keys and I asked if I received my complimentary upgrade as I am a gold customer, she said yes. I said oh wow the malibu used to be a midsize car when I worked for Hertz ( not complaining just making a statement).I went to the vehicle and it had gum in the floor mats, 2 empty Red Bull cans, clearly hadn’t been cleaned. I was going to overlook that until I turned the car on and the radio came on and the speakers were busted to the point all you could hear was the static. I go back to the hertz counter to the lady with a bad attitude and let her know the car is dirty and the speakers were busted. She told me in a very rude tone that the only thing she had was a minivan with 50k miles on it. I told her there has to be something other than a minivan with 50k miles on it. She raised her voice at me and told me that the situation was due to Covid and that was all she had that I could take it or leave it. I told her if it was due to Covid then the car would have been clean and that she had one more time to raise her voice at me by this time I was over her poor customer service skills.I could clearly see that there were other vehicles on the lot that she could have assigned to me as a gold member. I declined that vehicle and asked if there was anything else. She told me no and that I could sit and wait till she got more keys. I left the counter and called the other locations and they didn’t have any cars either. One of the locations told me to ask for a manger after I explained everything to them. I went back to the counter and there were 3 people behind the counter. When it was my turn I got the manager. I explained everything to her and she apologized and found me another vehicle. I can say that I worked at a large airport for Hertz and this type of behavior was NOT acceptable. If I was an auditor for Hertz this location would have failed the audit due to Jennifer. First things first… she didn’t have her name tag on, she didn’t recite any of the verbiage she was supposed to and her attitude was horrible. I have rented from COLORADO SPRINGS AIRPORT HERTZ several times and each time there has been an issue that I just let go and moved on. This time I will not let it go I will write my review everywhere and tell everyone to avoid Hertz in the Colorado Springs airport. Reserve your vehicle with a different car company as this companies quality in EVERY aspect has greatly declined. P.SI have pictures of the filth and I also have customer service awards of excellence and letters from customers stating that I provided excellent customer service from the time that I was employed for this company. I have friends that still work for Hertz and I will also be letting them know what happened. So I am VERY aware of what the standards SHOULD be. They also held $750.00 on my card for. $250.00 rental which is fine, but I returned the vehicle full on Monday. They didn’t check my car back in until Thursday after they put two more holds of $280.00 on top of the $750.00. I was told they have 48 hours to check the car in….. so with the vehicle sitting on their lot, they put 2 additional hold on my card. I had to call multiple times to get them to finally close my contract out. With all that being said, I will not ever rent from Hertz again.

DASHERS DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE... The lady with buck front teeth is such a snob and acts like she's better then everyone else. Then they say they don't do the doordash program which specifically states they do luckily the manager said that motor city does the doordash program. Terrible company...

I prepaid for a rental 559 dollars. Then called for an upgrade. I was told I would get a credit. But instead I was charged 600 dollars. And no credit. When I went to pick up my vehicle I learned that I wasn't credited. The rental was 600 not 1159.00. I called and was told to call after I returned the vehicle. So I called after it was returned and I was told that I would not get credited for my over payment. I'm not happy with Hertz. If I could score a zero I would
