“We met Steve Dobson while touring an open house when we first considered moving to Colorado Springs. We weren't working with an agent at the time, but felt a connection and gave him our contact info. Over the next year or so he would send us information and helped educate us about the different neighborhoods and the local real estate market. He helped us work through the buy-vs.-build questions we had. That first attempt didn't pan out, but we kept in touch. Three years later we renewed the effort, and Steve brought us up to speed on the then-current market. He scouted properties and compiled lists; he worked with my son who lives in the area to show him properties as our proxy. We always shop neighborhoods before we look at specific properties, and Steve helped us understand the options and the market. He made our house-hunting visits very productive, and I believe he really understood what we wanted. When we found our current house, he knew we were in the right place immediately, and he was making calls and negotiating for us before we even finished our first visit. He got us to an accepted offer that same afternoon and helped us through an accelerated closing. It was a great experience. When we eventually leave this place, I know who we are going to call to manage the sale.”
