Fun place to be and next to nature. If you don't mind a big crowd and busy recreation then I'd recommend the free adventure to natureParking: No ? but your also in nature, don't be disgusting.Dog-friendliness: If ur dog can't handle the freedom, have an extra leash.

I've gone here several time now and enjoy the varying terrain and vegetation as you go around. It's got climbing areas, the small reservoir, a rock quarry...basically every mile or so of hiking turns into a new area to check out. The red rocks are great to photograph and, as you go up in elevation, you get a few views of Garden of the Gods and the Manitou Incline.

Great spot close to town with a ton of trails. There is a fenced in off leash area for dogs. Everything was well marked. Can't wait to go back. 10/24/23 there were still some trees with fall colors on them.

A lot of parking lots and spaces. Unfortunately, we came here in the late afternoon. We did Pike’s Peak and Garden of the Gods before this. We didn’t get a lot of time to explore. The lake was dried up, not very aesthetic for pictures. We got to see some deer. Free to come in.

This place is certainly popular, maybe a bit overly so. Good place to hike if you don't mind the crowds.I've hiked out a couple miles trying to find a spot to relax in nature but repeatedly got disturbed by people blasting country music.

A bit underwhelming. I imagine best time to come may be Spring. Just looked like a bunch of overgrown weeds. Water was dried up.Easy bike or walking path.

This open space is massive. You could go on a new trail once a week for months before you'd run out of options to go on. Absolutely beautiful, like a more subtle Garden of the Gods, with rock formations and abundant wildlife. The area used to be a quarry, so you can go climb and explore the areas where they used to cut out the stone. The wildlife is absolutely prestine. I see deer nearly everytime I go, but be cautious, as mountain lions and rattlesnakes are also present in the area. The contemplative trail is my absolute favorite out of all the routes I've went on throughout Red Rocks. It takes you through beautiful rock formations, forested areas, and gorgeous overlooks. It's often not quite as busy as Garden of The Gods but can be quite packed on weekends and holidays.Overall, I'd highly recommend this place to a friend. 10/10.Friendly reminder to be respectful out on the trail, to both people and wildlife. Pick up after and leash your pets, stay on designated trails, and remember the principles of Leave No Trace.Parking: 3 main parking lots exist in the entrances of the open space.Restrooms: A port-a-potty is in each parking lot. Use at your own risk, it can be pretty knarly at timesDog-friendliness: Dogs must be on leashes the entire time except in the designated dog-park. The dog park itself is a very good size, lots of room to run and play and explore. All other areas are leash permitted and you must remove your pets excrement, including the bag you use to pick it up with.

Gorgeous trails of various difficulty through red rock formations. Honestly I've been to Garden of Gods a few times before (which you can see from this park and is just down the road) and it's very comparable and actually felt this was more worth the time to explore due to MUCH less crowding. Plenty of free parking too. We went on a Saturday morning and we passed maybe 20 people total . Check out their map online to help with navigation. Junctions are marked on trails. Again super beautiful and my younger kids loved all the rocks!

Outstanding place to spend a morning!! If you're coming with littles- I'd suggest a carrier, not a stroller. Tons of hiking options, our kiddos loved climbing in and around all of the rocks!! Best part- it's free!! Views are spectacular!!

Took the family and dog to check out the trails, and we fell in love. It was our first time here, and we had a difficult time understanding which trials were which. They aren't very clearly marked until you actually guess and pick one. 100% need to wear sunscreen because you will get a sunburn. Don't be like me. The views are beautiful, and the area is clearly well maintained. I wish I could go more often.Dog-friendliness: 2 off leash trails that are fenced in. We stuck to the easy on leash trails, and our dog was in heaven. Lots of shady rest areas and puddles to splash in.

Beautiful! We did mesa-greenlee-red rock loop, which was a little less than 2 miles. Try to arrive early— only one parking lot was open and it was full by the time we left at 10 am.

Went for a short hike but ended up watching some rock climbers. Took a couple of pictures on the way out. Looks like I'll have to explore more of the park the next time, beautiful area.

The trails aren’t really marked but compared to dealing with garden of the gods this is hands down better if you aren’t into searching for parking. Bring sun screen & water. Plenty of places to climb or bike as well as just walk.Fees: $0
