“Recently I stopped by Trimble Hardware to see if I could get some help solving a house problem I was having. ROBERT, one of the salespeople, was incredibly helpful. As a former builder/contractor, he was able to make recommendations and took the time to help save me money with alternative resolutions. Because of his knowledge and willingness to help, we ended up tackling a number of other house issues as well. Highly recommend him! He was definitely 'on my side' vs trying to just sell me stuff. I met the store manager as well, who was also very helpful. The store is clean, well organized and has recently dropped a lot of their prices in view of what's happening out there - a 5+ experience!”

“We live near Chama NM, my husband unexpectedly became quite ill while shopping in your store yesterday. I am a nurse and work 2 hours away. A customer (wishI could find out who he was to thank him properly) quickly realized that my husband needed help, and summoned staff. The staff tht responded were very attentive unfortunately i was only able to find out 1 name from him, and that was Claudia.I had to drive to pick him up and we have had to now make plans to drive back to Durango CO to retrieve our other vehicle. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks for your kindness and attention to him until i could get there. THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!! he is doing much better today!!!”

“Durango nursery always has the best selection of healthy plants and the staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. When I built my vegetable garden, they helped me determine exactly what soil, amendments, etc. I needed to use based on what I wanted to grow and where I live. Since then I've continued to go back to get solutions to all my gardening problems and to get fresh plants each year. I've tried lots of nursery and garden supply stores in SW Colorado and Durango Nursery is my favorite!”

“I’ve been a loyal Home Depot customer for more than 27 years. A lot has changed over that time and, in many ways, not always for the better. I remember when there were no self-checkout lanes, and it seemed like every department was staffed by experienced professionals who truly knew their craft.

One of my favorite memories was walking into Home Depot over two decades ago with a handwritten list to build my daughter a 4’ x 8’ x 12’ cedar playhouse. An associate took my list, gathered every item I needed, and loaded it into my cart. It was one of those customer service experiences that never leaves you.

Today, I found that experience again.

I walked into the Durango Home Depot and met Jay Evitt at the Pro Desk. I handed him my materials list, and he patiently went through it line by line, making sure I had everything I needed. He never rushed me, answered my questions, and made what could have been a stressful project feel easy.

Then his supervisor, Max, stepped in. He took the time to thank me for my loyalty, helped me save a little money on my order, and treated me with genuine professionalism and respect.

I’ll be honest—the Durango store has had its ups and downs over the years. But this visit reminded me why I’ve stayed loyal to Home Depot for so long. Jay and Max delivered the kind of customer service that has become increasingly rare. They turned a routine shopping trip into an outstanding experience.

Thank you, Jay and Max, for reminding me what exceptional customer service looks like. You both represented Home Depot extremely well.”
