“This is a TEN STAR review. I traveled to Durango from the Oregon coast. I stopped into the Durango Home Depot Thursday, Sep 21st and while there visited the men's restroom. I left my fanny pack containing cash, credit cards, drivers license, veteran ID, health insurance card, car fob, home key and other personal items on a stall grab bar and left the store. Two hours later, I realized it was missing. I returned and a very sympathetic associate named Dave helped me look around, even looking into waste barrels in the restroom and out to no avail. He took my name, cell number and email address. I left, disheartened and proceeded to spend the afternoon canceling my credit cards and calling Oregon DMV on what to do about my license (still having a couple thousand miles to go on my trip). As a follow-up, I called the store at 6pm that evening and was elated to hear someone had turned it in. Arriving at the customer service desk, I was extremely pleased that the entire contents were there, even nearly $200 in cash. A big thank-you to employees and/or patrons that made my day better ! As a point of irony, earlier at lunch that same day, I chased down a woman leaving in her car who had left her billfold (containing her driver license) on an outdoor table. Karma is alive and well !”
