“We hosted a wedding for my daughter at Shupe Homestead. Jim, who is the wedding coordinator was incredibly helpful, detail oriented and very focused on understanding our ideas and desires through the planning process - very calming and reassuring. He has established relationships with many vendors which also gave us confidence. Wedding day was everything we hoped - the grounds were in spectacular shape, the view unbeatable, and all the spaces were welcoming and ready for the big event. A windstorm blew through 40 minutes before the scheduled ceremony, and the Shupe team accommodated, allowed guests into the venue, poured champagne, and ensured everything was back in place and the wedding went off only a few minutes late. The cocktail hour was perfect, timing for dinner, sunset viewing & picture taking were spot on. Everthing was as perfect as it could be!! I also want to recognize the owner, Darla she was super responsive and helpful at rehearsal and for the ceremony. Many, many guests were raving and remarking how it was such a perfect venue.”

“I'm a local photographer, so I got to photograph a lovely wedding here during the summer. The property has so many spaces to get ready, hold a ceremony, and take photos. The farm is so quaint, loaded with tons of flowers and other natural spaces that are so peaceful and photograph beautifully. The interiors are very unique as well, and have plenty of natural light and high ceilings with an older, vintage feel. One of my favorite venues to photograph to date.”

“We had a wonderful experience at the Callahan House in Longmont. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, with soft, well-maintained grass and a charming fountain that added a peaceful ambiance throughout the evening. The outdoor space was perfect for our event - there was more than enough room for our group of 70 guests, with plenty of space for yard games, mingling, and dancing.

One of the things we really appreciated was the flexibility of the venue. Guests had the option to relax indoors if they preferred, which made the experience comfortable for everyone regardless of weather or preference.

Brittaney was fantastic to work with from start to finish. She was responsive, organized, and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day of the event, which took a lot of stress off our shoulders.

Overall, the Callahan House was not only a beautiful venue but also very affordable for what it offers. We received so many compliments from our guests on the location, and we personally loved spending time in the gardens. It truly made our event feel special and memorable. “We held our intimate wedding here on Sept 21st. My husband, our loved ones, and I cannot say enough good things about Ogallala Farm and the owners. Evan and Melissa answered all of our questions, were available and professional, and even saved our evening by running to the store for us when we forgot marshmallows for our s'more bar (my life saver!!). The venue is naturally beautiful, but Evan and Melissa have added to the charm with the large white tent (which kept us warm and dry during the late evening rain), the bonfire pit that everyone enjoyed, and offering up their spacious farm for us to roam and take our wedding portraits in. We will be recommending Ogallala Farm to others who are looking for an intimate space with natural charm to have their event at.”

“My wife and I had such a good time at the first ever blues jam on Wednesday nights! I just moved here and have been keeping an eye on what was going on in the music scene in Longmont especially. II saw two sets of local musicians assimilate into the new room to host blues players from all over. Special commendations to the blues band from the usual Monday night jams at a neighborhood place for smoothly moving in to a much more visible room to host musicians. And, the sound system was amazingly clear. I will be a regular because it was great music and great camaraderie. Cheers G.”

“Recently went to a wedding here.. well maintained event center, great patio overlooking golf course. Food was ok..chicken thigh was seasoned well, but rice wasn't cooked enough. Some staff lacked experience for catering and event.”

“We stayed in June and it met our needs perfectly. We had convenient access to everything and close to other communities- Boulder, Erie, etc. Very clean. Bathrooms were great- really liked the individual, locking shower rooms with plenty of dressing room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Fellow lodgers were considerate.”

“Recently stayed at the Residence Inn Boulder Longmont. We came over here because the property next-door, the Springhill suites was such a mess. What a breath of fresh air here. Although it’s the “classic design”, it’s a an updated level of rooms of their older design, if that makes sense. Rooms are super super clean, the front desk staff was tremendous and breakfast was very good.

Probably only negative thing is their television channel selection, I think they are kind known for that at residence Inn, but if that was the only thing, I kept the TV off in our room”

“I went to a Diwali event hosted at the venue and I had such a great time. The atmosphere was so friendly and inviting, and everyone looked like they were all having such a great time dancing to music. The food was also fantastic, and the chai they served was delicious as well. The venue was also decorated very nicely and was super grand. The owners really utilized the space well, and put on a really fun party to celebrate such a beloved holiday. If you get the chance, I would highly recommend checking out any of the other events the staff puts on. You will not be disappointed.”
