Gas Stations in Monte Vista, CO

“In reading the reviews, I read a complaint from a whiner about an employee "refusing to make a pizza" This complaint reminds me of a kid crying because too difficult to tie shoes. Just my perspective.During my visit, it was near closing time, therefore I could understand the reasoning not wanting to make a pizza. However, during my visit, the employee asked if I was wanting fresh hot food, he suggested I call pizza hut or local Chinese restaurant, Icalled Pizza Hut, they delivered in the parking lot.Aside from this, the facility is clean, organized and stocked. This place is not a 24hr operation. Staff was helpful and courteous.Unfortunately when others do not receive "desired attention" they post negative comments in hopes of a pity party.The employee and customer service was great he successfully made a "suggestive sale"Unlike the whiner, I thoroughly enjoyed my pizza and conversation prior to settling in for the night.”

“It was past 11 PM, MST, and we found ourselves in Monte Vista, Colorado. We were tired, and hangry. Our feelings were exacerbated by the fact that apparently EVERYTHING closes at 8PM, except for the only Gas station and only place that you can get ANYTHING in this little town. Yet, after the experience we had with the most helpful and friendly two gentlemen behind the counter. We have nothing but great things to say about this little gas station. It's been so long since we've had Godfather's pizza, since moving to Arizona from California. So, this was a treat for us. They had already closed their oven, and cleaned everything up. Only the frozen deli food was still available. However, they seemed to realize that we weren't from around these parts. And the gentleman behind the counter offered to make us two personal pan pizzas, if we were willing to wait 15 minutes. Bonus! Sold! I don't care how much it costs. Make it and bake it! It took longer than 20 minutes, but we didn't mind. It seems that the night owls in this town all hang out at the gas station. Teens, Kids, Parents, etc. So, we had plenty of people to talk to. We answered the same question over and over again. We're from Arizona. We're here to go to a graduation ceremony in the neighboring town. All in all, the pizzas were great. The service was excellent. The town folk we met were extremely friendly. And we didn't go to bed hungry. What more could we have asked for at 11 PM on a Friday evening, right?”
