“I have done more oil changes and lubes than most people because I'm definitely older than most of you. I always do my oil changes on a schedule of 5,000 miles for the best synthetic oil available. I had my trusty 2012 Toyota Tacoma in this shop and was out in less than 15 minutes.

Oil changed, new oil filter, tire pressure checked, and air filter checked. I check my own cabin air filters so I told them to pass on that. Why waste their time.

This was my first Valvoline Oil Change. I miss the ubiquitous Quick Lubes we had in Chicagoland as well as tons of similar type shops in Phoenix. Previous to this I used another company in Pueblo that just couldn't restrict itself from trying to upsell me on mainly fronts. I just wanted a lube and oil/filter experience and instead it became a 1 hour wait for a sales pitch.....and they weren't even mechanics.

The breath of fresh air I've discovered with Valvoline is awesome. I live near Raton, NM and will continue to drive here rather than use a private mechanics shop that probably wouldn't want just an oil change customer anyway. Strangely, Raton and Trinidad lack quick oil change shops. Why?

The young lady who guided my service and the two guys who shared the job knew their business. I like people who know their business, don't you? A bad dentist, a hurried doctor, a carpenter with little or no experience, a waiter or waitress who doesn't really want to be there....No worries here, I could tell the service crew was One-With-Their-Job.

I saw that there are several Valvolines in Pueblo and I count myself as fortunate to have picked the right one, for me at least...HA.

I drive a lot and don't necessarily remember offhand when my 5,000 mile next visit is due. I count on the Tacoma's dashboard light signaling me as well as checking the oil change sticker that Valvoline supplied me. To my great and unhappy surprise, I showed up 20 miles on my odometer past the exact date that should have turned on my oil change reminder light....but no light came on.

The crew at this Valvoline explained that they would only be supplying the appointment sticker with a 3,000 mile due date instead of the typical, American 5,000 mile reminder. I'm not sure if this is a new application for all Valvoline oil change shops or just unique to this particular shop. I plan to find out.

I live 2.5 hours drive away from Pueblo, approximately 35 miles east of Raton, NM. Since Raton as well as Trinidad, CO do not have quick oil and lube shops (!), I have been driving to Pueblo to get the job done. For the last 4 years I have used a different shop that is also known for quick oil changes, lubes, and other easy mechanical jobs (rear differential, front diff, transfer case, etc.).

When I discovered this Valvoline shop about a month ago I was quite excited to have access to a professional brand name shop that was not always trying to sell me more services. Offer, yes, but no pressure. I wonder, did I make a mistake?

I wrote the correct 5,000 mile mileage date on my sticker. My German friend laughs at the American fixation with such a short oil change interval when using high-quality synthetic oil: in Germany 7,000 and even 8,000 miles is the rule. And their vehicles are uniformly in better shape than here in the States. Vehicles with damage, incorrect seasonal tires, tires not intended for high speeds, and any sign of an engine burning oil gets a lot of attention from the police and highway patrolmen. Thus, if their Mercedes and BMWs can survive much longer oil change intervals, why can't ours? Especially through a name brand garage?”

“This is my second time that I have had to come to this Walmart service department and the guys here are awesome. They get me taken care of both times have been emergency situations meaning not planned and they are great. I highly recommend them.”

“Called a few days prior to make appt to have a variety of recalls (F250) taken care. Told it would take half a day. Alrighty! Packed a bag with food and drinks.Arrived at 0657. The entrance to the store itself is blocked by vehicles, that was moved by an employee with a minute of arriving. (just know if you arrive early. Saw a truck pull in behind me then back out) Drove to the service dept.Pulled up to the Quick Lanes. Greeted by Nerick, who took vehicle info and escorted me inside to complete my appt process. One will be rescheduled - they have to order the part. No worries there. He apologized that one recall may take 1.5 hrs, but offered donuts, coffee, and a ride to go get food, if needed. Gave up the keys around 0730. Sat down and read an ebook, until Nerick came to get me around 0945. Vehicle was done.I was very pleasantly surprised. Nerick was extremely friendly and made sure I was made comfortable. He placed the part on order and I'll wait till it arrives to make another appt for that recall. Very happy with my experience.”

“Well this is long overdue , I just want everyone to know how much I like my Walmart Auto Care Center here in Pueblo Colorado on Dillon Drive , all the mechanics , and customer service that asks what you need to get done on your car are so awesome, they have never been rude and work gets done so fast , I will always get my oil change here , because I work Monday to Friday and thank God they open on the weekends, every time I need tires , I just order on line and my tires are ready at the store when I need them , I just can’t thank my Auto Care Center enough and people you need to have your car care for here no where else !
