Dark, haunty feel to the place, but I love it.I stopped through here on my way to California to use the restroom and ended up talking with the locals. It's a cash-only store run by a woman and her kids, and I was a buck short on cash for a malt. I paid with what I had in change on me, and I said I would stop back my next time through town (we drove across the country twice) and I'm not sure they believed they'd see me again.I did stop back a month later, when we drove our other car out to California - unfortunately they were closed. I'll drive through here every time I pass through Denver hoping to catch the place while it's open! I love the charm of this little place.Thank you for your kindness and conversation on my lonely trip across the country. The Iowa retailer, the third-largest convenience store operator in the country, built its new three-year plan around three priorities: store growth, food and beverage expansion, and kitchen technology upgrades. The company plans to add 120 stores during the current fiscal year. Its previous plan, launched in 2023, delivered more than 500 new stores and earned the company a spot in the S&P 500.
