Their bread is delicious, and I always make sure to stop by the jewelry section as well. The store is always clean and well-organized, and the produce looks fresh every time I visit. “I ordered cupcakes from another store, and they called me 4 hours before the party to let me know they they would be unable to make our order (for 42 people!). My husband called Safeway, and they SAVED US! They were so nice, and even offered to make the cupcakes with Cub Scout colors since it was for a scout event. The woman who helped us at the bakery was SO nice. We will come straight to Safeway next time.”

“This seems like an early review, but Carneceria La Preferida could quickly become my favorite store of its type. The people are so friendly from meat side to check out. The meat has always been fresh, great quality, and now enjoying the chorizo for lunch. Especially good during Halloween when you need candy for trick or treaters, good for Christmas for presents, and it’s honestly the best grocery store during any time of the year. Also has many amazing donuts in their bakery section. You can get pretty much anything that you would need here, and there’s also gas and many fast food restaurants right outside the King Soopers. Best King Soopers I’ve ever visited, and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone in the area. And if you’re looking for something here to eat fast that tastes really good, I recommend a can of Chef Boyardee’s because those are really tasty and it’s as easy as putting it in a pan on a stovetop and waiting a few minutes with occasional stirring. It’s that easy, and you can buy these at King Soopers and have a quick, easy, and tasty meal anytime. So stopping by King Soopers is a great thing to do for all your grocery needs.”

If you can plan to fill up there when you're almost empty and you buy a lot of stuff from King Soopers anyway (i.e. you rack up points) it's really a good discount. When I was looking for a gas station near me randomly the others (on Google maps) were priced at $3.70. This King Soopers was $2.59 (before my discount); BUT it could have been cheaper because I got regular unleaded and not mid-grade).”

I walked into Dollar General expecting a quick stop for toothpaste. I left two hours later with toothpaste, a pool noodle, a single flip-flop (size 14, I wear a 9), a can of Vienna sausages that expired when Obama was in office, and a burning question about whether I’d just been part of a social experiment.
The aisles are like a maze built by someone who lost the blueprint halfway through. You turn right at the off-brand Mountain Dew, dodge a suspicious stack of Christmas decorations (in September), and suddenly you’re in a universe where off-brand batteries and dog food share the same shelf. I half expected David Bowie to pop out and start singing “Labyrinth.”
At checkout, the lone cashier was simultaneously ringing people up, arguing with a customer about whether a coupon from 2004 was valid, and somehow running national defense operations from her headset. Legend. She deserves a raise, a nap, and possibly a Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Dollar General is less of a store and more of an adventure. You don’t go in because you need something—you go in because the universe has chosen you to discover what you didn’t know you needed. In my case, it was a scented candle labeled only “Mystery Musk.” My living room now smells like a combination of pine trees and regret.
Would I go back? Absolutely. Because where else can you get shampoo, a hunting knife, and knockoff Oreos called “Choco Circles” all for under $20?”
