“After making an order set for 9-10AM drop-off, I spent most of the day awaiting my delivery that was said to be on the way for almost 7 hours. While contacting customer service throughout the day with an increasing frustatration of no solution, I finally got into touch with the store director of the Steamboat location. Sylvia was very kind & helpful in helping me finally resolve my issue, & took personal strides to ensure my order was delivered. My 4 star rating is given due to the contrast of the difficulty I found with everyone throughout this struggle of an order & the effort with which Sylvia took care of matters.
The ultimate problem seems to lie with the 3rd party delivering of uber/doordash. Personally, i'd like to be able to rely on ordering delivery from Safeway, but I would be weary of depending on the delivery services being used to complete the stores orders.
All in all though, I thank You Sylvia for your help in taking care of me today 🙏”

“As far as Walmart goes, this one is pretty good. Technically a Super Walmart, it's on the small size. They carry food but nothing fresh, only refrigerated or frozen, and non perishables. Many of the other Walmart staples (clothes, home, pharmacy, personal items). Popped in to pick up sewing supplies while spending a week here in Steamboat. This store was clean although a little crowded with merchandise, probably because it's small. For COVID precautions they seem to be doing good. Masks required (by county). All staff elevating masks. Aisles were indicated one way. For the most part people were respecting one another's personal space.”
“The Walmart in Steamboat Springs is hands down the best one around. It still has the small-town feel of when I was a kid. The people are pleasant, and this store has everything you need, not all the extra stuff the consumer world shoves down your throat. Just enough to keep it rolling. Great store, “vote bring back the Neighborhood store,” get rid of the super consumer stores, and make America a place that feels like home for everyone! This little Walmart is the best.”

“We visit Steamboat once or twice a year and this is our go-to grocery store. Overall clean an well organized. Can always find what we need. Often the produce stock is low. We always find what we need but it looks like maybe they have more space than they can stock. For COVID, all staff were wearing masks (required by county) and the aisles were marked for one way traffic. People seemed to be respecting personal space of others.”

“As a visitor as Steamboat Springs, I was looking for the healthiest option and I do believe it natural grocers is that option. They had a wide selection of healthy foods. Their prices were higher than the other local grocery stores, but always worth it to pay more for healthier choices.”
