“My only issue with this hotel is that when you walk out of your room you are overcome with the smell of pot. Hotels not just the Best Western need to do something about that. It's unfair for those of us that don't smoke to have to smell that stench.”

“We were looking for a place to stay while visiting relatives. This place had decent reviews and was a better price point than where we usually stay. Our expectations were exceeded. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and we liked have a table and chairs in the room (which I used to wrap Christmas presents for family.) Very basic breakfast, but the food area was clean and met a need. This is an area we visit frequently. We will definitely stay here again.”

“We worked with Kelli to book our hotel block for our wedding. She was so great! She was very responsive and so nice. She made everything really easy. She accommodated our request to have two suites on the same floor. She was very helpful when coordinating with the staff to hand out hotel welcome bags for our guests. She was also a life saver because I hadn’t realized that the suites only had mini-fridges – I had assumed they came with a full-sized refrigerator and kitchen. That was my mistake. I had planned to store a bunch of food for the morning of the wedding in the fridges, but mini-fridges definitely were not conducive to that. Kelli worked something out with the chefs in the restaurants and we were able to store our food in their coolers.There was a slight issue on the morning of our wedding when the front desk staff and the restaurant staff could not locate where our food was stored. It was not ideal when I was on the phone on hold as they searched the coolers multiple times with no luck. They told me I would have to wait for Kelli to come in to get to the bottom of this. Luckily, Kelli was coming in about half an hour later. She saved the day and wheeled the food right up to my suite.She also coordinated with housekeeping to refresh our suites once we left for our wedding. When we came back at the end of the night, we were met with a nice surprise in our suite. They left us a bottle of prosecco, a handwritten note, a bed full of roses and a cute little design in folded towels. It was a nice touch to the end of our night!The suites we booked were great for getting ready the morning of our wedding. The rooms were nice, the beds were comfy, and bathrobes/slippers were also provided. The bathrooms were also very clean and very spacious. The water pressure in the shower was great! I also appreciated the staff bringing up extra soaps/towels when we called the front desk, especially because it was late at night both times we requested it. I will say we did find a couple of bugs in one of our suites – one was a ladybug and harmless, but the other was a weird looking bug I had never seen before (see picture).Overall, we had a great stay at this DoubleTree location and would recommend it to anyone. It’s in a great location and has restaurants and a sports bar on site with plenty of parking!”

“I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I accidentally left my wedding ring set in the room after checking out and didn't realize until I got home and I was devastated. I live 3 hours away. I called the hotel and the housekeeper had turned them in!! The front desk held them in a locked drawer until I was able to come and get them a few days later. There are still good people out there! Excellent service, the front desk employees were so nice and the rooms and lobby were clean and well kept! I would recommend this hotel to anyone.”

“The employees I was able to speak with at the desk were so great! They felt southern to be honest, I was blunt to say the higher (up the coast) you go the less friendly it usually gets but not here. My only disappointment was the pool being worked on so kids were not able to enjoy it… but overall had a great experience and would gladly come back and visit the area! Management I forgot the name of the two girls/ladies that worked at those nights but they were phenomenal and professional! Very helpful!!!!”

“I was stranded on the highway and ended up staying here for the night. Is this the Ritz? No. But it's clean, everything works, I felt safe. The guy at the front desk was quick. The price was great (book directly with the hotel, it'll be cheaper than through one of those booking sites).For a shelter in a storm, this place is perfect”

“Oh, I was shocked. The room was actually available, and at a decent price, and great location. I was even more shocked when I arrived, and was greeted by Destiny, who was so natural, personable, and helpful. We laughed, she checked me in, and she even offered to help me. Mind you, it was night time when I checked in. She was not lazy. The room was extremely clean, the problem is these reviews talking about the rooms being outdated, are unrealistic. This is an extended stay, not anything else… very helpful for business trips, and emergency situations. I would pay to stay here, even if they raise the prices! The cleanliness is better than most luxury hotels that I’ve stayed at. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

“We loved our stay! Our family of 4, my sister-in-law and her family of 5, and my in-laws stayed for Thanksgiving. It was totally swamped with vacationers as well as a traveling hockey team and their families, but the staff there rode the wave and had smiles on their faces the whole time. Most notably Shannon at the front desk and Aaron the night guy really made it a great stay. Small things like a smile and a hello or coordinating a soup and beer/wine night made the stay very enjoyable. “My family and I stayed at a nearby hotel and there was an infestation and we needed to leave asap!I called this hotel and Irene (manager) was so accommodating and kind and reserved two accompanying rooms for my family and even called to make sure we were comfortable 30 mins after we left the desk.She is awesome and we even got fresh baked brownies from a staff member!”

“I would give this hotel a 3.5 or 4.0. I was worried based on several negative reviews which I read before staying here, but at least in my case the experience was decent. The hotel staff was nice and helpful, the room was as expected, perhaps a little run down but nothing alarming and the bed was fine. The only negative is that it isn't in the best area, and there seemed to be quite a few people milling about in the parking lot that weren't staying there, but I was assured that there are cameras and that my car would be safe. There was also a small gathering in the room next to mine which I was initially concerned about but it did not end up bothering me. One other point to note is that I believe this is a pet friendly hotel as I noticed an extremely small patch of grass for a relief area. Certainly not adequate for a dog of any size for more than a quick stop. All in all I think this is a decent hotel at a decent price - very conveniently located with easy parking. I would use it again - but might upgrade to the hotels a little further in town for location purposes.”

“I LOVE this place ! ASPECIALLY SINCE THEY ALLOW DOGSAS LONG AS YOUR DOG Isn’t a dog that willRuin things in the room. And as long as you have the decency to clean up after your dog . They have pooping stations with baggies for poop. I brought my German shepherd there. And no one gave me any problems. The staff was very very nice and patient and polite. My dog behaves very very well. And is well trainedSo I’m sure that contributed to the fact that no one really minded. I would 100 percent recommend this place to anyone. They are clean and their rooms are super cute !! I also like how they have the place set up where the separate party ppl vs ppl who look like they just want to relax and rest and not be in a loud environment. The rooms in the back are the loud ones the ones in the front are more private and quiet.Rooms: Rooms are super cute and very clean !Safety: They have double door locks security on the room doors . They have phones in the room if you need to call for help. I haven’t seen any issues there so far. Speaking for myself.Walkability: Restaurants and stores are walking distance”

“Stayed a night for a tournament nearby. Quick walks from the train station. Very convenient. Front desk gentlemen was friendly and cool. Room clean and all good.Only thing is the noise. One room nearby had sex shouts for a long time near midnight. Will request for a quiet room next time if staying again.”

“This is my second time staying here and I will stay here again in the future! Rooms are clean, towels smell like bleach, bedding also smells freshly washed. This motel is only minutes away from Union Station which is a huge plus! Lots of restaurants in fast food nearby! This place is great for the price! Can't complain! I'm a very happy costumer!”
