“This is an excellent place with lots of parking since almost nobody shops at Kohl's. Kohl's is convenient and takes Amazon returns, which never have a line.
There is Harbor Freight, where you can find the most comparable tools at Home Depot for half the price.
Then there is Aldi's. Aldi's is a German-owned grocery store owned by the same person who owns Trader Jo's. It is a streamlined, practical, and very cheap way to shop for organic vegetables, cheese, and meat, and I say this after years and years of shopping at Whole Foods. It is half the price compared to Whole Foods for not providing variety. The remarkable thing about Aldi's in Wallingford is that it is well-managed, and the clientele is respectful. The store is clean, and the carts are well-kept and smooth-running. You can check yourself out and get in and out of the store without meandering through aisles of useless stuff on sale that tempts you at the big grocery stores and wastes time. The only time you are waiting in line is during the peak hours of the weekend. I cannot say all Aldi's are well managed like Wallingford. West Hartford and Hamden do not have self-checkout, and the clientele differs.”

I simply cannot thank Manoj, Daniele, and Benjamin enough for making me look and feel the best for my special day! I entered their store with a style and budget in mind, and they helped me stick to it while finding some high quality threads and shoes. I was impressed by their selection, warm welcoming demeanor, and friendly banter. “I have to admit, I assumed this would be a Newbury Comics knock off - but I thought the selection was wonderfully curated, and the people working there were SO helpful - we sort of wandered in with a 1, 2, and 3 year old - the one guy directed us towards the things in their sizes, quickly pulled things down if anyone so much as glanced at them, and found matching things from the adult section. When he got the things we couldn’t reach down - he put all of the sizes on a rack we could reach and swapped them with sometime else so it was easy for us to pick them up ourselves. When he grabbed the adult stuff, he said - don’t worry if you don’t love that, just leave it there I can put it back - which was so thoughtful. I thought it was the best combination of salesmanship and consideration I’ve ever seen. Walking in it was just supposed to be browsing and a time sink, and we walked out with things we really liked. The other employees were sweet with the kids and knowledgeable about the things we were buying. I was pleasantly surprised by the whole concept as well - 1 meal for every $10 spent - so it was a fantastic experience. I don’t think I’ve ever even thought to write a review of a store in a mall but bravo Box Lunch!”

“Such a wonderful tailor! Stopped in on Saturday needing a dress shirt for my husband's X-mas party, that night, and Natale not only had the right shirt for him, he immediately tailored it for a custom fit! His pricing is beyond fair and his workmanship is exceptional. We will definitely return any time we need men's dress attire or any tailoring - he does women's alterations too.”
