“When I was concerned about a safety issue with my brakes, Mike was extremely helpful! First of all, he took me in right away even though I did not have an appointment. Mike listened to my concerns and took me for a test drive so he could learn more about the issue. He brought the car back to the shop and had Daniel put the car on the lift to look more closely. Both Mika and Daniel were kind and respectful as they examined the problem and educated me about what was happening. “Al's team is great. Worked with Al and Manuel. My girlfriend had brought her vehicle to get her brakes done and oil change to a place in Bridgeport. Long story short, he is a hack job that overtorqued one of the lug nuts and stripped the threads on the oil pan, hence oil was leaking. When she brought the vehicle back to bridgeport to repair the oil leak, he only changed the oil but did not resolve the issue as oil was still leaking. The drain plug would not tighten due to the stripped threads.I took the vehicle to Branford Auto and explained the issues. They were able to rethread the oil pan and saved me money from possibly having to replace the entire oil pan. On top of it, I was advised that the guy in Bridgeport put on two washers...Branford Auto also fixed the overtorqued lug nut that we initially couldn't remove. Additionally, they removed a scew from a slow leaking tire and patched it. From my experience, Branford Auto is a place you can trust and gets the job done. Thanks Al and Manuel!”

“There's a lot to be said about honesty. There's a lot more to be said for skills and experience. Not playing the woman card, but as a woman, dealing with something auto-related has long been a stress. I'm a smart gal, but cars aren't my thing. Not like I don't have the aptitude for smaller tasks, but whenever I've taken my car in for something...I've seen more than once how dealerships will try and take advantage of the fact that I don't know certain things (and seen their faces fall when I've played dumb knowing the reality and declined their nonsense).Enter a pretty massive gut punch. After a dealership jerry-rigged a fix...that ultimately went bust...they tried telling me that my vehicle needed a $3200 repair on a five year old car (2019 Kia Sportage SXT) - and that was just the estimate! In an absolute tailspin, I reached out of Colter and his team. What the dealership was telling me just didn't make sense...and if I was going to consider giving up a kidney to pay for a repair, I wanted to make sure that it was truly necessary. Lo and behold - Colter showed me the truth, and did what the dealership should have done the first time. Absolutely incredible. Saved me a few thousand bucks and proved that there are shops really can be trusted.”

“United Tire has excellent reviews on Google, surprised to see only one review here. Anyway, I had just bought a new(er) car from a place I didn't quite trust but I was in a tight pinch. Two weeks after buying my car, the alternator went. I had just enough battery life to get me home from work. The car was seconds from dying as I backed it into my parking spot at home. I called a place nearby, they quoted me $479 for the repair, which did not include a tow. He said they don't do towing. So I called a few places and found a business nearby, the guy told me the tow would be $100-120. Making the total for tow and repair $579-599. He asked me where to tow it and I told him. He said his father owned a repair shop nearby and could probably do the repair that day. I was initially hesitant, but ultimately agreed, as small, family owned shops tend to be cheaper than the big boys. The drawback was they can be slower. In this case, that was true. They towed my new(er) car at about 8am on a Friday morning and I was told it would be fixed that day. It wasn't. I called shortly after they opened Saturday morning and they hadn't begun the repair...but he assured me the car would be ready before the end of the day. I called back right around noon and he said it was ready, to come pick it up anytime. Great news! I got a ride to the shop and they were pretty busy with what seemed to be happy customers. I had to wait like 20 minutes, no big deal. They finally gave me my total for the repair AND the tow. $420 out the door. Wow! Okay! One thing auto repair guys are used to is people grunting, grumbling, and groaning over the cost of repairs. When a customer smiles with glee and gladly forks over $420, it makes them happy. I told them they saved my neck and I could now get to work on Monday. They also saved me about $160-180. To top it off, I told them my car was still under 30 day warranty from the place where I bought it. I could have gotten the repair done FOR FREE but I opted to pay $420 (or a possible $599) instead. Why? Trust. You can't put a price on trust. The car has been running great ever since. Next time I need a repair, these guys will be at the top of my list.”

“Ben is experienced, highly knowledgeable, fair, and honest. I brought my car and an aftermarket turbo kit that I purchased to him to install. He knew what all the parts were and made several recommendations to improve the kit provided. With each recommendation he gave me the full breakdown of why he recommended it, how much it would cost, and how much labor would be involved. He was able to answer all my questions and gave me everything I needed to make my decision.During the install process we ran into a few issues that were coincidental and unrelated to the turbo install. Ben was able to diagnose them immediately and resolve them quickly. Some required ordering parts and Ben was able to get them within 1-2 days and fix them. Ben also went the extra mile and flushed my dirty break lines and checked my other fluids. Ben was highly communicative during the process and called me multiple times a day to keep me up to date.After all the parts were installed he helped me work with the company I purchased the turbo from to tune the car and immediately addressed every coincidental issue that came up, including a completely unrelated issue with my fuel tank.The primary reason I chose Ben over another mechanic is that he was truly excited to work on my car. He is passionate about cars and it shows in his work. He fabricated a few things for me in this build and even installed a new fuse for my gauges. I live out of state and when I’m in CT I’m an hour away, but I will happily come back every year to have Ben service my car. I can’t recommend him enough!”
