“Dwayne shop is a no frills a one person operation tucked away off West Main Street near Lake Saltonstall in Branford. He offers affordable rates for oil changes and repairs, plus he won't fix anything if it's not needed. You are not paying a corporation for high overhead but a real mechanic who knows his way around car engines. Parking is a bit tight near his shop but there is always a odd bit of area to park your car. Once in the shop you walk in the back and shout his name if you go without an appointment. It's like the old days but the good ones. Drop off and pick up. No place to wait inside shop.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Ben. From the moment we started working with him, he’s been incredibly kind, patient, and professional. He clearly knows a ton about cars and detailing, and you can tell he genuinely cares about the work he does.
One thing that really stood out to me is how respectful and inclusive he is. As a woman, I’ve had experiences where mechanics mostly direct everything to my husband, but Ben never did that. He communicated with both of us, made sure I understood everything, and took the time to explain things in a way that was clear and easy to follow without ever being condescending.
He’s also very transparent about what he’s doing, what needs to be done, and what options are available. Instead of just saying “this is what it is,” he talks things through with you, works with your budget, and makes sure your car is safe and reliable. That level of honesty and collaboration is rare and really appreciated! On top of that, he’s super organized with scheduling, price quotes, and communication, which makes the whole process smooth and stress-free.

“I got a blowout on 95 on my way from Rhode Island to New York and was lucky enough to get it right around exit 55. I was able to get my car off the highway and pull it into a Mobile station where I spotted Automotive Excellence conveniently located right next door and one of the only places around open at 7AM. Tom was great and took care of me right away, even servicing my car at Mobile since I couldn't get it to their shop. He had me in and out in less than an hour. I cannot recommend them enough!”

“2022 CLS450 - I compared the exact same job with the dealer, (bent strut) car wasnt handling right after 2 alignments at other shop. And Classic gave a better price for the exact same job. I took my Mercedes there and within minutes, my car was up on a lift for a very thorough evaluation and within 10 minutes I had my entire writeup and quote. Everyone in the shop was older, so I didnt have some high-school kid working on it. The shop seems to run like a well oiled machine. Very clean, organized and professional. Im lucky to have found thus place. I usually do my own repairs, so I know when I've been out matched.. and this is one of those places.
