“it was such a pleasure and honor to meet co-owner Karen of black owned Kindred Thoughts Bookstore and explore the gems of their collection. Arlene , Christelle , my son Nico and myself had a wonderful time visiting from Long Island . We learned of the origins of how the store came to be , listened and share travel adventures , Karen introduced us to new authors and works of literature. Christelle was able to obtain the well known 1969 Maya Angelou classic “ I know why the caged bird sings “ and I was suprised to see and obtained “ Badquiat-isms “ Jean Michel Basquiat. I can’t wait to come back again , one of my favorite spots . God bless kindred Thoughts Book store ! see you soon ??”

“Bread of Life book store is the go-to place for all things religious. The owner is friendly and helpful. I brought a large font Bible with the chapters tab at a very reasonable price.”
“I love having an independent bookstore in the neighborhood, and Black Rock Books is a fantastic independent bookstore! Their selection is well-curated and interesting - I've discovered a lot of recent favorites there based on the recommendations of the owners. They have a great selection of kids books as well. So thrilled to have them here!”
