She's a sweetheart ? she's kind & takes the time to listen to the customer. She's a reflection of impeccable customer service!!! She also goes out her way to greet customers even when she's busy checking out the people in front of her. Oh, I can't forget the associate at the Sephora station. I don't know her name, but I tell you...she was friendly & a great SALES PERSON!!!”

“They have such a large selection of clothes, and home items. They have big items like mattresses and couches, and even a cute chocolate fudge counter with many flavor options. Usually always some type of sale running here or there so if you catch it on what you want it’s definitely worth it. One of the few good things in that mall left.”

“Pretty cool place to shop at. You’re welcomed when you come in the door by staff. They sell everything from seasonal items to lipstick. T shirts arts and crafts toys. Candles. Nail kits. Hair accessories. Sports equipment. Electronics like phone covers and wires to speakers. And some pet supplies and candy ( what used to be penny candy is now a bit more )

While I do a lot of shopping on Amazon and other online retailers, you can't beat a trip to TJ Maxx. I'll always be a shopper there. Nothing like in-person shopping!”
“I am typically in the store for Amazon returns, which is a quick in and out. They are known for their coupons. You never walk out without one. Some of those coupons maje for a great deal. But, this is no discount outlet. Most items are a bit pricey, but when you apply the coupons, you can find some great deals. The true gem is the Clearance section all the way in the back of the store. Can get some great gifts ideas for up to 80% off at times!”
“I went to Kohl in Wallingford to get my dad a Father's Day gift today. I'm a partially disabled air force veteran, and it's hard for me to get around. I ran into a wonderful woman name tantiana, I probably did not spell it right, but hopefully she's the only one there with that name, I just want to say thank you. Publicly, she really cared, she was so helpful. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it or help. And she deserves to have all the kudos and recognition in the world out of been very tough for me to get around without her today. “Today I was at Marshalls with my two young children. I had purchased a small suitcase and two comforter sets so everything was big and bulky. As I was walking out of the checkout line a very nice young man with an incredibly deep voice offered to help me. He was very polite and observant of the fact that I needed help. I sincerely appreciated it. Him simply carrying two comforter sets for me out to my car really help me out. I hope management gets this message because it was incredibly sweet and helpful. Just not the type of customer service that one gets these days anymore. So thank you.”
“Good selection of curtains and rugs. Plenty of other home decor items along with a few other finds. Fairly priced inventory with some items found to be aggressively discounted priced from time to time. You can find some nice clothes sometimes too and spend much less. Great place to browse and I usually end up picking up something without breaking the bank”

“My Walmart visits are so enjoyable for me, they have such a massive variety of items to choose from. My Hamden CT Store stocks just about all of your needs, I wish they would buy the closed BOB'S Store so they could make themselves a SuperCenter, it would be a nice welcoming for Hamden. There staff is always friendly and eager to assist you when you need help finding a product or item. The store is always clean of debri on their floors and also the bathroom is very pleasant when needed. I enjoy watching the partisapation of other patrons who also come to shop, I like walmart.”

“Exceptionally well organized and full of product for being located in Waterbury. Would definitely recommend this location over the Naugatuck location. The only downfall is that the Waterbury location does not have a fresh fruit and vegetable section, only frozen produce.”

“Five Below in the Target shopping plaza was a pleasure to walk in and walk around. It is clean and brightly lit. I found many items to buy. The chain has increased its prices, understandably, but the items are still a bargain.”
“I popped into Kohl’s to make a return. I had never gone into Sephora in Wallingford before. A sales person helped me pick foundation and concealer. In bringing it home I hesitated thinking the drug store could have creviced. Once I started using it I could see and feel the difference. Then me being me I did check out the drug store prices. Yes it was more but it’s comparing apples to oranges. I’ll never go back to the drug store.”
“I ordered cupcake bouquets for a shower and they were beautiful. A friend of mine recommended them and I was impressed. They were perfect, the girl who waited on me at pickup was great, the bouquets were packaged so nicely too.”

“We use the pharmacy at the Southington Walmart, and they are fantastic. Refilling prescriptions by text or through the app is quick and easy. It is also convenient to pick up groceries, household items, or almost anything else while we are there. I cannot speak for every Walmart, but the Southington location does a great job.”
“This is probably my favorite Walmart that I've found in the Southern Connecticut/Fairfield County area so far!
Having moved here from North Jersey, I was honestly pretty disappointed when I first started shopping at Walmart in my local town. I'm used to the larger Supercenters where you can get a full grocery shopping experience, produce, bakery, refrigerated and frozen foods, household items, clothing, etc., all under one roof. The first Walmart I visited here was much smaller and had a very limited grocery section, so it just wasn't what I was used to.
I actually discovered the Naugatuck location because I mentioned this to a cashier at another Walmart, and she recommended that I try this one. I'm so glad she did!
This location is much more like the Walmarts I'm familiar with from North Jersey. They have a large grocery section with fresh produce, bakery items, refrigerated and frozen foods, and then you still have the clothing, home, and other departments you'd expect from a Supercenter. It's really nice being able to get everything in one place.
One thing that even surprised us was seeing a Charley’s inside the Walmart! 😂 We're used to seeing a Subway or sometimes nothing at all, so that was a fun little bonus.
The only downside for us is the distance. It's about a 25–30 minute drive from where we live, so it's not somewhere we can just run to whenever we need a few things. But when we have the time to make the trip, this is definitely the Walmart I prefer.
If you're in the Fairfield County/Southern Connecticut area and, like me, you've been disappointed by some of the smaller Walmarts around here, I would definitely recommend giving the Naugatuck location a try. If the drive is doable for you, it's worth it!
