“I can’t stand shopping for clothes. Had ordered twice on State and Liberty’s website but just couldn’t get the right fit. I ended up taking a ride to the Westport location and Marquiana provided some of the most excellent customer service I’ve ever had. She was able to suggest exchanging for a different cut that was equally as fitted, has an eye for style that you can completely trust, and helped me upgrade some of my professional wardrobe in under 90 minutes… on Black Friday. She is a terrific representation of the State and Liberty brand. I will for sure be back as I continue to upgrade and will work with her again.”

“Joe Zemo is a "different" kind of guy. He is not your expected pleasant mildly obsequious tailor. If anything he's a bit of the opposite. He is opinionated and often loud and even may appear to some to be arrogant. He really isn't, he cares about his clients and their appearance. He has definite opinions but he is very often right, and he will do right by you. His main business is formal wear rentals but he has a made to measure service which is very good. And he utilizes very good companies to produce his piece goods. I have never done a suit with him but I would imagine it would be a successful project. I am overall pleased with my experience with shirts and trousers. Don't let the mid-60s (mid-50s?) look of the shop or Joe's demeanor stop you. If you are pleasant to him he will be to you, even if at times he remind you of a football or basketball coach. He maybe the only old-style men's clothing store left in Stamford, and he is with a visit.”

“Although this store is much smaller than the one in Greenwich, the service is absolutely amazing. When I walked in I was greeted by the staff immediately. Justine knows that it's my very first time there, he quickly shows me where everything is. He also pointed out the sales items. I took an item to the fitting room to try it on. Justine checked with me if the shirt fits and offered to bring me a slightly larger one. While he was ringing up my item, I described one item that I like from the store and he immediately helped me to look for it, although he couldn't my size. The customer service in this store is undoubtedly superb.”

“When I asked Siri to call this Old Navy in Norwalk, it said it had only 1 star and did I still want to call!? I had been there in the past and it’s been a little rough around the edges. But I did proceed and I have to write this review because today , not only did the person answer the phone courteously and stop to find an item I needed, the store was immaculate when I came to pick it up later. EVERYTHING was in its place and the three ladies closing were eager to help me and knowledgeable and capable. 5 stars for me.”

“When I tell you the associates working on 12/4 saved my life! My daughter had a footwear emergency on the day she was scheduled to take pics with Santa. I went in the store with a crying 6 year old, Yemely and two other associates did everything possible to help me and soothe my crying little one!! They offered tissue, stickers, and brought out every shoe that would match her outfit. They helped lace her shoes and even put both sneakers on her and laced her up!! They saved the day!! Thank you again!!”

“I went to the location in Hamden, CT. They always have sales going on and have a nice selection for good value. I bought a pair of thick lavender sweatpants with a $10 coupon. From that sale, I got another $10 off and went back to get a pair of waterproof hiking boots. Bob's had so many selections of sturdy footwear. I ended up buying a pair of Merrells and got another $20 coupon, so I can go back sometime. Apart from having a great selection of outdoor shoes, boots and sneakers, the people who work there are very friendly and helpful. The cashier suggested I might have more points, and I ended up with an extra $10 off my purchase, which I wouldn't have known or thought to check had she not suggested it. Bob's is a great place to shop for the Christmas season, so if you have any gifts to buy or just want to do something nice for yourself, I suggest you visit Bob's.”

“I have been a fan of Barbour for the last 5 years and discovered them while roaming the streets of Soho. I was more than delighted when a Barbour opened up in Westport which is like 3 miles from me. This shop is in a newer development in the shopping district of Wepos, towards the back of main street almost on top of William Sonoma. It is a bit hard to detect, depending on where you are coming from. The place itself is small, a bit crowded but has pretty much all the selections you would expect at a regular store. The best part are the store attendants who are extremely knowledgeable, very helpful and are not pushy at all. The quality of the clothing is simply outstanding and looks real good once you are wearing them. I already have four of their jackets, and keep coming back for more. Glad they are in town and I hope they stay in business given how aggressive the turnover in this neighborhood has been for new stores recently.”

If you like woodland strolls, trekking deep into the forest, fly fishing waist deep in streams or just taking the dog for a walk around the neighbourhood, Orvis can outfit your venture. This store is a great embodiment of that spirit and the staff is unbelievably helpful in helping you get what you need.
