“I recently rented a van from Home Depot and overall the experience was smooth and convenient. The rental process was easy, and the van itself was in good condition.
However, there was a small issue at the start. I was told the gas tank was at 7/8 full, but when I got into the vehicle, it looked more like just over 3/4. I only drove about three miles and even added half a gallon of gas before returning it. Despite that, I was told there wasn’t enough gas upon return and was asked to pay a fuel fee.
I explained that the tank was already under 7/8 when I picked it up and declined the charge. Thankfully, the staff listened and agreed that it was probably a mistake in checking the fuel level at the start. They dropped the fee, and everything ended well.
Just a heads-up to future renters: double-check and take a picture of the fuel gauge before driving off. Otherwise, great service!”
