“I am writing this review to commend Georgeann Oates who is an Amica employee. We had Amica for our car and home insurance for many years and we liked Amica. However, when we moved to another state, Amica was not available for our home insurance, so we switched to a different carrier for our car and home insurance. When I tried to cancel our MA plates, I was told by two employees that I needed to go to the MA DMV site to do so. When I went to the MA DMV site, it said that we needed to bring an affidavit to a full service DMV center in MA to cancel plates for one of our co-owned cars. This was not feasible to go back to MA. I could get no answers when sending inquiries to the MA DMV via an online "contact us"; and I got the run-around on the MA DMV phone dialing circus. The two employees DID NOT TELL ME THAT THEY COULD CANCEL THE PLATES FOR ME! So I spent many hours trying to figure out how to cancel plates for the co-owned car. I finally tried calling the person at Amica who I had talked to before on this, to ask for advice (after she did not respond to my email). She did not answer the phone, so I talked instead to Georgeann. She was fabulous! She got the plates cancelled for me, got a receipt for me, and initiated the process for a refund for my double coverage. So while this review is to commend Georgeann, I'm am quite displeased with the other two employees WHO DID NOT TELL ME THEY COULD HAVE CANCELLED THE PLATES FOR ME!”
