“Joe is the best. Old school work ethic and customer service. Bonus, you can tell he actually enjoys what he does. I’m sad for the future when places like this go extinct.
He shortened my backpack straps and you can’t tell anyone altered it. I ended up here after the suggestion of a tailor (tailors don’t use the thick needles needed to sew through thick straps and/or leather) I would absolutely bring any purse or shoes etc here in the future.”
“A gem of a place. Always exceptional service, top notch repairs that are quick and reasonably priced. Mr Fazio is a true craftsman and a pleasure to do business with.”
“The woman who was helping me with my alteration was super friendly and knew what she was doing. I was a little frustrated with the wait time. My apt was scheduled for 10 and I didnt get taken in until 10:40. But the apt went fast. Which was great.”
“One of the best if not the best sneaker store in CT with one of the most respectful and kind owners I have ever met anytime I come in I look forward to talking to him and going to his store highly recommended coming here anyone who says else is a troll”
“A few friends recommended Marathon Sports after I had a pretty bad experience at a different running store, and I'm really glad I went. Mohammed was super helpful—he answered all my questions and we ended up having a great chat about shoes and running. He really knows his stuff. Even though the store was packed, the whole process felt easy and not rushed. I ended up with a pair of Asics and some insoles for my high arches. I’ll definitely be back next time I need new shoes.”
“Abby helped me today and it was an awesome experience. I’m super new to getting back into exercise so I had no idea what I needed. She spent the time with me and went through all the options. I didn’t feel pressured at all and extremely happy with the sneaker I left with. I definitely wouldn’t have had the same outcome going to a regular sneaker store and picking something myself.. she was great!”
“I’ve been shopping at Mickey Finn's on the Berlin Turnpike for a while now, and it’s always my go-to spot for heavy-duty work boots and outdoor outerwear. They carry an impressive variety of top brands like The North Face, Columbia, and they even stock exclusive gear like BRUNT workwear. The guys working in the bootery are incredibly helpful and really know their stuff. The selection is absolutely massive compared to your standard department stores. My only critique and reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is their strict 14-day return policy. If you are buying gifts or need more time to decide on a fit, it can be a hassle. Otherwise, it’s a solid local business with great inventory. Highly recommend checking them out!”

“Wonderful consignment store! Quality merchandise , friendly, helpful employees. Furniture, housewares, decor, clothes, pocketbook, shoes, jewelry. They have occasional sales, discounts for frequent shoppers and a mark down area. I always find something to buy every time I go there. I highly recommend.”
“Came here to get new shoes for work. Chris was very helpful and knowledgeable of each shoe I had a question with. Overall everyone In the store was very nice and I haven't felt so comfortable at a store in a while.”
“Staff is excellent in the Manchester CT store. Always very knowledgeable about sizes, fit, and availability. Recommend them very highly. Will order anything not in stock.”
“Went in looking for boots to shovel snow in. The selection wasn't what I expected but ended up buying a very comfortable and reasonable pair that not only can I use to shovel snow in but also work around the house or job in. Ahn (not off) and another young man (not sure of his name) helped me while Emily cashed my wife and I out. The experience was great and always is in one of your stores. Thank you boot barn for employing such amazing people. Look for ward to doing business with you again”

“Dr. McIntosh was wonderful. He was very professional. He explained what he was doing and made me feel comfortable. But I have had root canals in the past and this one was the best. I did not have nor have I had any pain or discomfort.I am grateful to his office for fitting me in so quickly as I have a hip replacement in 3 weeks. If I ever need this service in the future, this is we’re I will go. Thank you”
“This store has stunning ladies clothing. A super nice boutique. Unusual pieces that look fantastic. The sales ladies are always pleasant and ready to assist you with whatever you are looking for.”
“I have bought countless footwear from Vionic. Just this one time a few days ago I bought shoes that the store person offered discount on which became a final sale. The shoes felt comfortable while trying in store but when I tried at home (on carpet) for 30 mins, they hurt my feet. I called Vionic if they would give me store credit and I am not asking for refund, I was just denied.
I understand that it became a final sale but given orthotic shoes are so expensive even after discount and that my feet just needed more time to know whether it will work for me. I have been a loyal customer, I would have hoped that they make an exception just one time. Especially, when the choice at the store is always so limited in terms or sizes and colors.
The owner addressed my issue promptly and I was able to receive store credit next day.
Hence bumped up from 1 to 4 star. Thanks!”
“Some things you shouldn’t buy on line.
Shoes are in the don’t buy group
Work and Safety shoes are absolutely to be avoided on the internet.
I was lucky to find this store 2 days before a construction site visit required personnel protection equipment. In footwear this translates to Steel Towed Shoes. With an incredible in stock selection which chain stores don’t offer, I was able to select the perfect pair which fit like they were already broken in.
Selection and service make all the difference . I was lucky to find them and you will be too!”

“They may not be the cheapest but they definitely have all uniforms, even those hard to find sizes..the staff are very dedicated and will stop at nothing until they find what you need! Phenomenal service!!”
“OH, THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF SHOES!! Holy cow. One design with different sizes, & colors to choose from. Hard to make a decision when there's so much there. Warehouse style shopping with unfortunately only 1 or 2 sales people to help you. I found a nice pair of brown boots & black sneakers! I'm happy with my choices. N”

“First time shopping there, Super welcome as soon as we walked throught the door. The sale women Macie was patient with my son to figure out his correct sneaker size. She gets a gold star! Thanks Macie.”
“Great store staff where amazing helpful and polite would definitely go back here again also there online stock check was spot on my daughter got the pair of shoes she wanted where in and out in about 15 mins. Perfect way to shop”
“Prices are on the high end but not out of the range of other quality brands I've bought at Marshall's on sale, and they have good sale prices. Quality is excellent and sizing and fit are better for my middle age figure than most brands that run too small or too "matronly". Service is good, although they are expected to push a bit, offering advice and add-ons if they see you looking at something. I've worked in retail so I know they are just doing their job. If you do have a question or need something, they know their inventory and are quick to help. I've been very happy with the work clothes and jeans over purchased.”
“Getting my XXWide shoes has changed my life!
And soft diabetic inserts have relieved my neuropathy pain.
So happy I found this place. No need for podiatrist referral either.
Only shoes besides crocs I can wear.”
“Went to the Buckland Hills location, have been there many times, and the customer service and help far surpasses many other similar stores. I enjoy going in there, the help is always there from them if needed.”
“The staff are exceptional. The woman working there pointed out a flaw I hadn't seen on the shoes I was going to purchase! Honesty is a rare quality these days. This store employs people of high moral character!”
“Great service. Debbie and her partner were wonderful. Fantastic customer service. Fun time in this store. This will be my go to location for J Jill shopping. The store I use to frequent is in evergreen walk which is closing. Thank you for such a fun time.”
“Doesn't have the variety I'm looking for in the store however they do have larger size shoes available. Which both walmart and Marshall's don't carry unless online.”
“I came in looking for a new pair of running shoes after experiencing some discomfort with a previous pair of new balances I bought last year. Immediately walking in Brandon greeted me and began helping me. Asking for all my information, pulling up my account to view my previous purchased shoes to get a better understanding of my issue. He helped find the right shoe based on my concerns, talked me through two different options. Brandon was absolutely amazing, high energy and very knowledgeable. I would recommend seeing him if you ever go into this location! Thank you Brandon!”
