The Home Depot in East Haven is a store offering a wide variety of tools, appliances, outdoor furniture, building materials, and gardening supplies for home improvement and gardening needs. The knowledgeable team is always ready to provide expert advice and support, and it is never difficult to find someone to help, even at self-service areas. Associates are noted for being very friendly, with passing staff saying hello. Specific employees receive frequent praise for excellent customer service, with descriptions of them as amazing, helpful, calm, and knowledgeable. They are recognized for taking care of complicated orders, ensuring the right items are gathered, providing patient help, and giving useful tips for projects. In one instance, when a desired item was not in stock, an associate provided a discount on an alternative and handled everything promptly at the store. The store has also been noted for honoring exchanges just beyond a return period, with staff being very helpful in the process. This consistent, excellent customer service leads customers to recommend the location and express appreciation for the support received for their projects.
Earline in the paint department is my go-to. I live closer to other Home Depots, but prefer East Haven, just because of her. She ALWAYS goes above and beyond.
