“Zahner's did a fantastic job with the fit and style of my husband's tux. The day of the wedding we had an issue with a bowtie and the staff helped us in a pinch. “This place is amazing! Scott is so helpful. I was in town for my wedding and popped in to look for a tie. Scott was patient with the shopping process. He also pressed my shirt for me and he was even able to do an alteration to my pants in under 24 hours. The clothes are beautiful. Will be back to Middletown just for this store.”

“This is a gorgeous store with all sorts of cool boots, particularly heavy duty, work boots and cowboy boots. I was looking for snow boots so this was not really the place for me. But were I to be looking for some awesome cowboy boots. This would be the place to shop!”

“I love Tjmaxx. The one on the East Hartford/Glastonbury line always has a good selection. Even during the pandemic they did a good job of keeping up their store and having the shelves full of products.”
“The store personnel were very helpful, courteous and professional. However, the pants I exchanged were supposed to be size 46/30 and they measured 33 inches in length! We had a funeral so my husband had to wear them - I had to duct tape the hem so they wouldn’t drag on the ground. Ridiculous the inseam sizing was so wrong. Now I’ll have to take them to a seamstress and pay another $25 to have the $88 pants hemmed correctly. Very disappointed.”
“I recently came into Banana Republic the other night with my girlfriend to look for dress clothes for myself, and we were greeted by an employee named Reagan. She helped us find clothes that we were looking for, and if we couldn't, she suggested alternatives that actually turned out to be better choices! I felt terrible because we were there just after the store had closed, but she assured us that it was no problem at all, and that she wanted us to walk out of the store with what we were looking for. Her energy made the store a welcoming place, along with the other staff, and we'll be happily returning if we need to get anything else from there in the future.The store had what we were looking for, and it was well organized, although prices sometimes seemed a bit high for things that we could easily find elsewhere.”
“Carhartt is a brand primarily made for heavy duty work, like construction, or outdoor wood work. In the recent years it has become quite trendy for anyone looking to keep warm in the winter months. Their beanies are very thick, warm and cozy, and so comfortable, they come in a large variety of colors. They are available from sizes for infants to adults. The Carhartt store in Evergreen Walk is the only one in Connecticut. I've gone here multiple times looking for gifts or for something for my self. The store is pretty small, it primarily carries men's items, they have a very small selection of kids or baby items, and an even smaller selection of items for women. The staff have always been super welcoming and friendly. They will order anything for you if a size or a color aren't available in store. The store also carries work boots, socks and belts. Even though the women's section is very small, their beanies, tee shirts and hoodies can be unisex, depending on the size of course. This is a great store, with wonderful and knowledgeable staff. I encourage you to stop by if you're in the area.”

“I ran in here last minute. I needed to grab some things to go out if town with and as a gift. I did not have my car. If you are familiar with downtown there aren't really any options for retail shopping. So to be stuck downtown during the day without your car is a nightmare. You may as well go to CVS and hope the have some leggings or something like that. But I was looking for my husband not myself so that really wouldn't have worked either. I ran in found some really great deals. We got some sweat pants sweat shirts and even a few dress shirts. One sweater since than has shrunk all the others have been washed and dried no size or color change. Some sale items although not clearance are still not refundable or exchangeable, but most items if left with the tag on you can exchange or return as long as you have your receipts. This place saved me and I am waiting for a warmed day to walk over and see what else they have.”
“Move over L.L Bean. This is truly an exceptional customer services. I purchased a winter coat last year, and it had several mechanical issues with the zipper. I brought it back to the closet store of my residence this year to see what the store can offer me. To my surprise, the store staff offered me an even exchange for another similar coat while I was in the store, so it wouldn't leave me coatless during the winter. After making me the offer, the staff worked with me diligently to locate another coat in my size, and color which is not a walk in the park. That's an outstanding way of taking care of your customers, and stand behind your products. I'm glad I didn't make a purchase at L.L. Bean for my current winter coat!”
“I recently had a fantastic experience at L.L. Bean when my husband and I decided to stop in and try on their winter boots. We had heard that their boot fit differs from standard shoes, so we wanted to make sure we found the perfect pair. The sales associate who assisted was very nice and helped us pick out custom laces for our new boots. And then what made me stay and shop every week even online is the COUPONS!!! They are just Fablous!!!You get a $5 coupon when you return something at the #Amazonprime site... “My main complaint is that I'll go in there to buy socks.....and will be driving home with a bed spread, 2 pairs of jeans, a gym outfit for that night, a gift card or 2, a rice cooker.....and I'm just thinking..."how did this happen again?!." “PLEASE READ REVIEW: The manager of this store, Deborah, SAVED MY WEDDING. She was empathetic, kind, attentive, and selfless. I went to men's Wearhouse for custom made suits. 2 months are the order was set up I was told at Men's Wearhouse that my custom suit order had run out of fabric and that I had no other options. 3 out of 8 groomsmen did not have suits. They offered no other options and told me to return the suits and "go in a different direction". The store manager at men's Wearhouse was so condescending she made me cry. I called Jos A. Bank in Glastonbury to see if they could help me. Deborah immediately got to work to find a solution. She invited me to the store and after seeing my fiancés custom suit she told me that not only does Jos. A. Bank have that exact suit available off the rack, but so did men's Wearhouse. The store manager at men's Wearhouse did not check their online inventory, but the store manager at Jos. A. Bank did for me (even though it wasn't even her store. The solution was so simple and she was able to help me get the groomsmen their suits. Afterwards she checked in with me and made sure everything was all set. She was helpful every step of the way. Please if you are wondering where to get a suit, GO TO JOS. A. BANK AND SEE DEBORAH. She is wonderful at her job.”
