“This is a fantastic store for all your running needs. The staff are very helpful with shoe fittings. They let you try on as many as you wish and even say you can take them outside and run in them to try them out. They have a good amount of options for running shoes and also a wide range of brands and types of running fuel. Everyone I’ve ever been helped by there has been kind, attentive and patient!”

“Got great customer service here today. Came in with a return but no receipt and no tag. It was a birthday gift, and I just wanted to change the size. Honestly, I had no idea Columbia was at Clinton. Was excited to see it close by. Had no problem exchanging my skirt. I did some shopping while I was here and bought more skirts. Signed up for their rewards card and got a discount off my order. “I visited a few weeks ago just to look around and found a perfect pair of boots in my size. The prices are great here, though depending on the color or style you are looking for, they may have limited sizes. At least, that was the case for the pair I was interested in. If you're already taking a trip to the outlets and like Timberland shoes, check it out!”
“I was there today looking to replace my running shoes. Unfortunately, they did not have my size in the store. Thanks to Jude, who was working the register,she went on line and found the updated shoe that I own and was able to order it for me. She was amazing, helpful, engaging, knowledgeable and kind. Great shopping experience. New balance shoes are very comfortable and great quality. They have 30% off and also buy one at full price and get the 2nd one at 50% off. BGM.”
“Kyle Smith at the Johnston & Murphy store in Clinton, CT is one of the best managers I have encountered. The level of service he has provided over the past several years has been consistently exceptional. His knowledge about the various brands of shoes is outstanding. The atmosphere he creates at the store, not only with the pleasant, professional way he relates to customers but also with the respect he shows his colleagues, makes browsing a pleasure. On several occasions, he has gone out of his way to contact other Johnston & Murphy stores to find shoes in sizes that were not available at the Clinton store. He arranges for the shipping quickly and efficiently. In addition, the store is always very clean and organized. I don't think I have ever left the store without making a purchase, largely due to Kyle Smith's customer service excellence.”

“I didn't know it at the time, but we walked into the store only 10 minutes before they were closing. After about 7 minutes, the gentleman at the counter politely asked if we were finding everything alright. I've worked in retail, so I know how frustrating it is when customers walk in last-minute. However, he was very helpful, and he got us what we needed without rushing us. We had two separate transactions with items that would've gotten us a discount if they had been bought together. However, he applied the discount anyway, recognizing that we shouldn't have to pay more just because it was two transactions. Very helpful, good experience, good store! Oh, and also, I love my Crocs. Thanks!”

“I had a great experience at this store. In fact, it was the best out of all the other stores in the outlet, due to the customer service. I went to the UGG outlet earlier this week with my twin toddlers, who were in a stroller wagon, which made my shopping experience a little difficult to maneuver around. Every single staff member I interacted with was incredibly helpful in my situation, providing my children with stickers, notepads, and clipboards to keep them occupied while I shopped.
Every employee I encountered was polite and considerate. I purchased a few different items and was helped with each one with kindness and respect. I wish I was able to get the names of the employees, but they were all great. I left feeling accomplished and not overwhelmed, which is not always the case when shopping with toddler twins.”

It was March 1, shortly before closing, and she was a middle-aged woman, so I hope she can get the recognition she deserves.”
