The whole atmosphere was still comfortable and inviting. I found a gift for my Mom, and didn't want to leave. I felt like I was a little kid again back in Bloomfield, CT. Next time I'm hitting the bakery!!?”
“I ordered my online access through this particular store and spent an extra $20 for 2nd day delivery. That was last week. I ordered on the 3rd and delivery may or may not happen on the 9th. A refund of $20 would be nice since it took one week. Just saying don't spend the extra money, definitely not worth it! Update 9/9. So, it looks like my delivery went to Springfield, Mass for a vacation for 3 days, then it ended up at my post office for a 3 day stay-cation!...all via USPS. I'd like to make a suggestion, maybe next time my $20 could go to FedEx or UPS and could have had my purchase last week. My class starts Wednesday, hopefully the books' vacation is over. And I changed my rating from 2 stars to 5 because they did a good job trying to get my online access to me and I give less than 1 star to USPS for keeping my access on vacation for no reason.”

“I love this store! Although it can't be officially classed as wheelchair accessible, both manual and electric wheelchair users can phone the store in advance and arrange to enter via the delivery bay at the rear of the store. The local council has been refusing to allow the owners to build a ramp at the front entrance! If you're a wheelchair user and love rocks, minerals, books, clothing, and other metaphysical & spiritual items, don't let the alternative entrance put you off. The prices are excellent, and I've been in dozens of metaphysical stores from Nova Scotia to Central Florida. The range of rocks/crystals and minerals is vast, and their quality is great. There are items priced from $1 to thousands of dollars, so there's something for everyone. The store has several sections, so make sure to have a good look around. All of the members of staff are friendly, helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. Any time my husband and I are passing through Connecticut, we make time to visit this fantastic store. We live in Nova Scotia, but it's well worth the journey as a side-trip on our summer vacations. Barnes & Noble is proving that physical bookstores aren't going anywhere. The retailer just opened three new locations across Texas and South Carolina, marking another step in its comeback story. Barnes & Noble opened 57 stores in 2024 alone - more than it had opened in the entire decade from 2009 to 2019. The company isn't slowing down either, with plans to open more than 60 new stores in 2025 and a goal of reaching over 1,000 stores nationwide in the coming years.
