“I've been Big Y shopper for over thirty years. This store is one of the better ones in the chain. All the departments have a great variety of products and are generally full shelves. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. The store manager doesn't mind getting his hands dirty, as I saw him in the deli taking orders and using the slicers. Yes, its a bit pricey, but overall, what they offer makes up for that.
The only critical comment I have is with the deli and the change over to Boar’s Head. Yes, its a good product line, but way too expensive. I hardly ever use the deli anymore because of that fact. You used to use a good/better/best system there. You need to bring a full range mid-grade back.”
“Great store with great prices and friendly employees. Everything is so organized and it's easy to find the items I want. Though the one thing I wish Aldi could approve on is investing in more riding carts for the elderly and disabled. I often shop here with my Grandpa and he is unable to walk and stand for long periods of time. Sometimes the riding cart is taken or dead due to no one charging it.”
“Finally getting around to writing a review! I live about 20 minutes away, and my husband and I make it a point to stop in most Sunday afternoons for a quick bite and our weekly groceries. The staff up front is always so friendly and welcoming. As I’m getting older, shopping isn’t quite as easy as it used to be, but there’s a lovely young woman, I wish I could remember her name I think it started with an M, who is always incredibly kind and helpful with my groceries. She bags everything so thoughtfully and makes sure nothing is too heavy for me, I make it a point to go through her lane when the time comes. We had such a nice conversation the last time I was there. Also, the woman at the deli is an absolute sweetheart and made my grinder perfectly! I’m giving four stars only because things looked a little messy when I came in, but hey, we all have off days. Overall, such kind people and a place I genuinely enjoy coming back to.”

“It was a good store not gonna lie. I just dont like how its a dollar store but nothing really as cheap as a dollar. But was very convenient when i was in desperate need of pepto bismol. So i give it a good rating.”
“On DoorDash I left a poor review and I don't know how to fix it. The gentleman that works there and the store itself is excellent. However, be careful trusting DoorDash as I was no played by the store, the driver tried to take my order. The store owner knew something was up, sent him away and corrected the problem.”
“Dollar General is one of my go to stores. They have good prices on everything. They have a good stock of staple foods ..snacks..soups..pet food.. candy... dairy and small freezer section. Also paper goods and decorations for Holdays. They really carry a selection of everything you would find in a larger grocery/retail store. And it's great if you live in out of the way areas cos that's where they put them. Clover Valley is their food brand and most of the products are pretty decent. I usually go to the DG near UConn but this one is just as good. In fact I stop at most Dollar Generals when I'm traveling anywhere and stock up for the trip!”

“Since the new manager Faith and her crew took over the store .. I have nothing but compliments!! The store is cleaned organized with no rolling carts filling up the isles so you can't get through. I can find everything I need plus more .. items are not out of code now which is amazing in itself!! Not to mention the great customer service at the register... I have been to many dollar general stores all over Connecticut... And this one by far is the best !! Gereral managers please give this stores employees credit where it's due !! “Love coming here for a once a month trip. Buying bulk saves time and trips to the store frequently throughout the week. Great prices, accepts manufacturing coupons and they give more of their own coupons as well! Dairy free options and all household needs are just some of the things you can get here.”

“Met an associate there. Nice lady with a cane named Lisa. I’m not from here and she was more than happy to assist and give me some free advice. The customer service was great from everyone. My husband and son were assisted by Gina while buying fishing licenses and she was great too. Marcia cashed us out upfront. I just can’t believe how nice and helpful all the employees are here. “Love the Asian market. The veggies are super fresh and have so many varieties of food you need. Feels like home when you instantly come to the store. Have been to other Asian supermarkets nearby, such as Oriental in Willmantic, A Dong in WeHa, S&A in Norwich, Tomo in Wethersfield, I’d say they each have different production selections selling in the stores, and each of them are pretty good and I enjoy shopping at each of them. I think I’d definitely go to Little Asia more give its cozy feeling and just have everything. May seem a bit pricer than A Dong, Oriental and S&A, but it is right next to UConn and is a ritual for me to go there on Friday afternoon I think. You can’t beat the convenience.”
