“I took my 6yo Golden Retriever to Dirty Dog this afternoon for a self wash. The staff was so welcoming, helpful, and resourceful. We had plenty of shampoo and conditioner to work with, along with tearless face shampoo, ear wash and toothpaste! The water was the perfect temperature and the hose easily moved all around my dog. The blow dryer was great and dried her quickly. I was easily able to add on a nail trim and the tech was very confident and proficient which put my Rosie at ease as she dislikes her paws touched and hates to have her nails trimmed! We finished the experience with a homemade banana and peanut butter cookie! I can’t wait until my Rosie is dirty again and needs another bath, as we will definitely be back on a regular basis. This place is a gem!”

“Our boy plays hard all day and sleeps all night. A tired pup is a good pup. I can tell he’s playing hard from the sheer amount of dirt on him when we pick him up! Lol we love it, and the socialization aspect he gets as well. When we drop him off he doesn’t even look back once”

“Found product I was looking for, but not the size listed on website. I looked for some help, nobody around. Went to where you pay, cashier rang up the sale and said I needed to go to gray storage area; found that. Did not know I had to drive car to area. Got car, drove to area, showed receipt, wished I had a bigger vehicle... stuffed item in trunk and drove away. Item was a bale of hay to put on top of grass seed in bare areas of my yard. This was the first time going to this store. I'm sure now that I am familiar with Smithland, next time will be easier.”

“I loved everything about Newington Pet Spa from start to finish! Making an appointment was quick and easy and they were able to work with my busy schedule. They had a consultation with me before cutting her hair and explained everything to me very well so I knew exactly what they were going to do. And the best part is, they did a fantastic job on her hair cut! I had taken her to other places in the past which didn't do a great job, but they did! They did a great job cutting her hair by her face and paws too, which isn't always easy for a wiggly dog. Her nails were cut well also! I definitely recommend them!”

“This place is awesome and I highly suggest! I've ordered fruit flies a few times from this company, and delivery was super fast! I had a few issues due to ups throwing the boxes around too much and neherp replaced it right away. “Our puppy has been going to the Little Shop of Howlers for a few months now and she always comes back happy and beautifully groomed! They keep notecards for each customer and know that she doesn't like the blow dryer, so they're super patient and understanding about the pet's needs. That and I loooove how great she smells when she comes back! Thanks Little Shop of Howlers!”

“The store has a great selection of gardening products for outdoors. They are a bit pricey on some items. Lookup the product you want first than see where it's cheapest. You'll see what I mean. For indoor gardening you'll want to shy away from grow tents or lighting. Better deals online. They do have a great line of Espoma brand mixes and soils and Foxfarm products at a good price. Their plants are great quality and when on sale great prices. I have no clue about their pet department.”

“Our 2 1/2 yr/old Golden needed his nails cut, and though his "coat" was a little long, we were concerned about how cold the weather has been. We took him to the Petco in Wallingford, CT, where he received great care. It was our 1st such visit, and the staff and service was outstanding! They did his nails, did a great job with his undercoat, and gave him a lighter than normal trim, and he looked outstanding. We will certainly keep them in mind for Nicky's next haircut, especially with these circumstances.”

Overall watching the store expand/improve over the years is lovely but seeing the care improve for all the pets housed here over the past few years is incredible. all birds were going crazy for fresh veggies, wooden chews, and foraging toys. and lots of healthier brands making their way onto the shelves.”

“I previously worked with Jake at the Southington location, who was excellent. Ultimately, we found the puppy that is right for us at the Branford APC. Both locations had lots of adorable puppies of many breeds, but the puppy that was right for us was located in Branford. There, all of the team members who helped us were great: kind, knowledgeable, well-trained in proper procedures, and very efficient. In addition to that, Dave led us through the steps we needed to take once we had identified our puppy. He patiently answered our many questions, clearly explained the company's warranty, led us to the various products we needed and assisted us to size them, etc. We are thrilled with our puppy, and APC made the process of finding and taking her home a pleasure.”

“Saltwater aquatics employee there was very helpful and out going to the customers including me, first time in a long time I seen the saltwater section stocked with exotic fish in a long time I went there for seaweed for my fish because all pets didn’t have any they ate lagging in supplies for saltwater being that try make mist of their revenue from dogs, so I decided to go to pet o and should of went there from the beginning the store is becoming what it used to be thanks will shop there again.”
“I can't say enough about this establishment, the staff is so nice, the owner is so polite and patient. My card had an issue and he was kind enough to wait until I called my bank, also I was told my new puppy cavapoo was a little matted under the belly and before they just shaved or trimmed him, they called me to inform me first. I noticed how the other fur babies were happy and how the place was so clean and the groomers were sweet and friendly and gentle with our babies. It doesn't smell and you could see your pups grooming area and waiting areas which were clean as well. I would highly recommend this place, they did a fantastic job with " jourdy and my best friend's golden noodle poodle chance.”
