“This is one of the coolest stores EVER. So many times I go to book stores and ask for recommendations of twisted, scary, thrilling, or mysterious books and it’s limited selection. Here EVERYTHING is in my genre!! Haha I love this place so much!”

“This is my husband's and son's favorite bookstore. When we visit Mystic they actually go every day! They have all kinds of good reads for every interest. Recently, it was expanded to include two large rooms. The front room features new releases and popular, classic novels among others. The room proceeding it features academic subjects such as politics, history, economics, etc. The atmosphere provides a sense of calm, which coincides nicely with the already relaxed atmosphere of Mystic. Before the store itself is a statue of a whale, a hallmark that can be found throughout Connecticut, just as shell statues can be found throughout New Jersey. With beautiful editions of books of every variety, you will not be disappointed!”

“I really enjoyed spending some time at ReReads. The owner, Jill, was super welcoming and helpful. We chatted about books and I even got to talk about the book I'm writing! She had lots of great recommendations for me and I could have probably spent at least several hours in her store. I can tell that Jill really cares about her customers and wants to help everybody find the perfect book. The prices were great and all of the books were in truly excellent condition. I bought a hardcover that was released in 2022 for $12.50 (less than half of the MSRP!). If I ever find myself in Westerly again I will definitely have to go back to ReReads.”

“I am only in Groton for a few months and I keep finding excuses to come back to this spot. They have such a cool selection of old books and the owner and the dogs are always so welcoming. It’s definitely a great place to check out if you ever find yourself in the area.”

“Good, helpful people.. Great prices on liquor and beer. Normal prices for wine. Open as late as the CT. law allows. Seriously the coldest beer coolers I've ever opened.”

“Very nice store, with very nice selection, Owner was very helpful and pleasant. Mick behind the counter was very nice, and she fit the vibe of the place. It's a great place to get lost in digging through Vinyl. Don't know much about their used vinyl yet, as I have only been buying new, but will be searching through that soon enough. I'll be back!”

“There's something for everyone here. A decent collection of shirts for purchase as well as shot glasses, posters, and various other souvenirs. The ladies working the back desk are nice and helpful should you have any questions!”

“Bank Square Books is beautiful bookstore in downtown Mystic. It is independently owned, by the current owners since 2006. It has been a bookstore in this very location for 35 years. When I first walked inside I was under the impression that this is a tiny bookstore, the further I walked the more books I would discover. This isn't a tiny bookstore, it is moderately sized. I loved the variety of books available. There's fiction, history, brand new releases, kids, and specific interests such as birds. In addition to the books, they also have some giftable items. There's wrapping paper and cards here also. They also have comfy chairs and couches so you can get comfy while reading. This is such a beautiful bookstore that I'm glad to support in downtown Mystic.”

“This was a great spot to spend some time one afternoon. We really appreciated the well-kept grounds and the information about the plants and trees that was available. What a spectacular way to spend some time outdoors!”

“I'm feel so bad for the woman working here on 8/10/22, she was verbally abused by a customer because his 5 year old was screaming crying outside because she locked up for the night. He made her feel bad saying you made a 5 year old cry... Many F bombs were thrown in front of the child as well. Security was outside the store too. She actually let them in.... Kudos to her! Sometimes kids need to be disappointed every once in a while... That's how they learn how to deal with situations such as this.”
