“My wife and really love this Big Y. The people that work there are very friendly and helpful. No matter at the Deli counter, Meat or Fish counter they offer advice and customize your order upon request. We recently ordered 10 Charcuterie platters for a party and the Deli manager created beautiful trays. Each was unique and artistically put together. Also, she and the Store manager helped bring it out to my car and figure out how to put in without squishing everything. Even when I stopped in a few days later the people behind the counter wanted to hear about the party and how everyone enjoyed themselves.”

“Love going into Fiddleheads, everyone is always welcoming and I like that they foster an atmosphere where plenty of folks just hang out and chat. Prices are a little high for me sometimes, but I am happy to support paying employees a living wage and sourcing products ethically. The really good days are when CoolHaus vegan ice cream sandwiches are on sale :) Keep ordering the bright green loose yerba mate, please!”

“Food and sales here are great. I am so grateful to have this store here since it is so far above the many Stop and Shop locations in the area regarding food freshness and quality. I am not a great fan of most of the meat selections and go to McQuades for most of them, but for most other items, shopping their circular every week is a true bargain and plethora of good deals.”

“I am not a regular but I definitely shop here at least once a month if not more. It is very convenient and only 8 minutes from the house. Although this is not as big as Aldi nor as cheap I believe they are extremely great competitors. They have a great variety of products and even cultural products. Their MEAT section is my favorite. You can find great quality and and often amazing great prices. I love buying my steak for grilling, my family loves the great choices. They also have beer section; ice cream birthday cakes which is convenient and they have great quick meals that you can pick up for family dinner. If you need gas there's also a gas station and air pump. All you need in one convenient location. Staff is also pleasant and helpful.”

“When I lived in Connecticut (8yrs)..I shopped here twice for seafood. Nice selection on flowers or something for a wedding. Definitely have to look around to decide what you want to buy. The locals rave about this place. It’s a good spot. Not someplace I’ll go out of my way for.”

“The place was relatively clean and organized. It was a weekday and it was busy. I was able to find everything easy as I know my way around. They also always have great price. However produce quality is poor. I grabbed a bunch of cilantro and lots of it was going bad and same with scallions. It was hard to find a bag that looked good. My biggest complaint is to bring more staff for check out. One person for large purchases is not enough. The self-check out units are only great for smaller purchases as theirs no space for bagging and scanning at the same time.”

“Stop & Shop is a great neighborhood grocery store. I come into town often for work and this is where we go to buy everything for our grocery needs. For a small town, it's a big grocery store that has a bakery, deli, Starbucks, everything you could possibly need. It is very clean throughout the store. They're always fully stocked w/ fruit and vegetables, everything in the store with a big variety really. I've always found what I needed to buy and then some. The staff is super friendly and always great to chat with at check out. They follow covid protocol and wear masks and gloves, social distancing signs on the floor, and have the clear dividers at check out. Customers are also required to wear masks in the store. It's nice coming in there to buy what we need every trip.”

“Very clean nice store! Cashier was very kind as well! Only thing that was a major safety concern was the huge sinkhole in the parking lot near the dumpsters that was not marked off. Granted, I’m sure not many people park that way- but I did tonight as I’m not familiar with the area. I had 2 young children with me. Had I not been paying attention to them, they could have wandered that way and gotten hurt. I’d fix that mess ASAP.”
