I always use Rich's. Very easy to schedule an appointment. Has my car done in the same day. He will let me know if he found something else that needs attention right away or will need to be done on the next visit. Very professional.

My dealership claimed that I needed brake work front and back. They gave me a price but little detail why I should have the brake work.
Rich examined the condition of my brakes and provided pictures for me to see what should be done. Turns out I did not need front brake work. His price was reasonable and I had the rear brakes changed. He took less than 2 hours to do the job and I am happy.

I needed to get a Pre-Purchase Inspection for a car, and I wanted to go to a shop where it looked like an experienced mechanic would take a good look at it, instead of having someone just quickly check the oil, brakes, etc.... without being thorough.
I know I made the right decision and I am 100% happy and satisfied with the service I got. Shellie even contacted me the day before the appointment to go over some concerns regarding the car's history w/me, and to make sure that a PPI was worth MY time and money. This level of attention to detail is something I would never expect from a larger chain store or, honestly, anywhere else I've been.
After the inspection, Rich went through each of his findings with me and in a way that I could understand. He gave what I consider as a very fair assessment of the vehicle (listing what is in good condition, what he could/couldn't check, as well as what needs work) and even told us to call back if we have any concerns or questions!
Also, before coming here, I noticed there were a negative review or two, regarding politeness...I can't speak for those people. But in my experience, they were both very friendly, polite, honest and professional.
Overall, the impression I got from this place is that it's a shop where they genuinely care about providing good but also honest service. And, I genuinely appreciate that. I will come back here, in the future, if I have anything that needs to be looked at!

I went to rich's car works for a few minor repairs. They went through my van throughly and took pictures of the problems they had found. Gave me a detailed explanation of what they found. And were priced reasonably good. I will recommend them to everyone.Services: Engine repair

I recently bought an older car that needed some work. I took care of some of the simpler issues, but when the car started throwing codes left and right I knew I needed a professional.Rich was the right guy. He took care to find exactly what was wrong and fix it in a timely manner, for a very fair price.Since then, I've trusted him for all my maintenance needs as well.Shellie made sure to work with my crazy schedule, explain my bill and is genuinely personable.Rich and Shellie were a both a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend them to everyone in the area.Services: Auto engine diagnostic

Waste of time. They will try to take money from you in anyway possible. I thought they were honest, but unfortunately they only care about $. I have to keep searching for a trusted mechanic. Take my advice or go check it out for yourself.

Great, fast auto repair shop in Naugatuck CT. I had my vehicle checked and repaired in less than 6 hours and I called the day before to find out if my vehicle could possibly be looked at. Very fast honest and friendly people. Highly recommend

This place is awesome! I had a bus full of high school athletes and we broke down close to the shop. They helped us get patched up and didn't even charge us for the work! Amazingly kind people! Please give them your business.

As many others have written, Shelly, the receptionist (claims she is Manager/Owner) is super rude. I was trying to get a rough estimate on a simple repair. As I was explaining the issue I said, “pretty sure it’s the water pump and” …she immediately cut me off and said, “I don’t do pretty sure it’s not worth my time”. When I said to her that I would find business elsewhere she said, “I don’t need your business - have you seen my parking lot?!” Ok well I’ll make sure not to add to your parking lot problem!

Shellie was very rude and condescending. Didn’t even try to help. She flat out told my husband “I don’t need your business, have you seen my parking lot?”
