Million Asian Market is a compact, conveniently located Asian market on a downtown New Haven side street. It is a worthy, local resource, especially for nearby students or locals. The store offers a terrific selection and a full range of Asian dishes, from fresh to dried items. It features a wall of open refrigerators with fresh fruits and produce, aisles of packaged foods, drinks, and snacks, and a live seafood section in the rear. The Asian products are reasonably priced and the variety is top-tier among Connecticut Asian markets, making it very convenient for longer stays. However, customers must check expiration dates before purchasing. Multiple reviews note that many dried products, like noodles and soup bases, are often expired, with some items expired for well over a year. This is a consistent concern. Despite this issue with expired goods, the store remains a popular, small, and reasonably comprehensive fallback for many.

Love that there’s an authentic Asian grocery store in New Haven. They have Asian ingredients that you wouldn’t find in most supermarkets so I’m very glad this place exists.
