“I received Nica's Puttanesca Sauce in a gift basket. I was shocked at how good this sauce was. It is by FAR thee BEST sauce I have ever tasted! The sauce delivers a sweet to tangy combination that hits our pallet all at once as it explodes an abundance of flavor with every bite!! If you are lucky enough to live near this market -be sure to try this amazing, flavorful delight! When serving at home, you will experience the taste that even local restaurants can't capture. The prices at this location appear to be much higher than they are at other branches.The organic fresh food area and their Nature's Promise section is one of the best aspects of this store. They carry a full line of both fresh and frozen products for every dietary preference.”

“I usually don't write reviews on convenience stores, but they make some slamming Fried Chicken. I went to my daughter's track meet at the school in New Haven, Connecticut a while ago, and I wanted something to snack on. I asked someone on the street if there was a store in the area and they pointed me to this store. Now I'm going to be honest, it's not the best area in New Haven, Connecticut but sometimes the best food are in holes in the wallI, or in the hood . I was just going to get some chips but I seen they were selling wings and I wanted to try them out. I was a little concerned about the wings because they were big wings and the last time I ordered wings that big from an establishment, they were not cooked all the way through. As I walking back towards the school, I took a bite of the chicken and OH MY GOD!!! You're talking about flavors that were just dancing on my tongue. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the flavors were delicious, and that crunch was out of this world. I had to write this review because I had to tell someone!! lol. The wings are a dollar a piece and honestly I've been here a couple late nights.”

“My cousin and I were curious about items that could be for sale at an Asian and Caribbean market, especially one located across from a whole food fruit and vegetable market. As you can see from the pictures, we were delightfully surprised. We have both traveled widely and were happy to see food items you can find in many African countries and the Caribbean. The clientele was many from that part of the world so that was a a good sign. The atmosphere was lively and the prices seemed reasonable. We saw people purchase items like salt fish, African yam, and lots of fresh fish. We’ll be back!”

“Friendly little neighborhood store with about the range of products you'd expect to find at a similarly sized deli -- but Mexican! If you're looking for a full carniceria and panaderia, this is not that -- try the C-Town in Fairhaven. This is the store where after you bought your taco meat at the butcher down the block, here you're going to get your tortillas (the blue corn ones are magnificent), your spices, and some beans. There is a small refrigerated section that I think has cheese. If you want lettuce and such, haul yourself around the block to one of the delis on Orange Street. There's a freezer up front with paletas, which in summer is extremely welcome. There are lots of snacks, including a wide range of Bimbo pastries in two-packs, compact but comparable in usefulness to QT in Arizona. (These are the Mexican Twinkie-equivalent and so much better.) It's equivalent in size and scope to the Asian markets on the same street, so if this is your moment for making Korean-fusion tacos, State Street is where to do it.”
