“Came here because my local USPS was mobbed! Sal was very friendly & helped me choose the best option to ship my documents. He was very knowledgeable & didn't try to up sell me on any services that I didn't need. He was very patient & allowed me to pick the perfect "cute stamps" I was looking for too! I appreciated his honesty & great service. This branch was clean, practicing social distancing & everybody was wearing masks. “I spoke with Chuck, I believe at the Thimble Branford Postal Office, and he couldn’t have been more helpful, patient and attentive to the needs of my call. It’s nice when you can feel a employee caring about the issue and doing his or her very best. I would have done the phone survey after the call had ended but I waited and it never came on and then just hung up. But I knew I had to give Chuck props and thanks otherwise I wouldn’t have felt right if I didn’t. I hope he gets accommodation he so richly deserves.”

“Ship-Rite Packaging was wonderful! I needed to send a package for my niece's birthday at, of course, the eleventh hour on a late Friday afternoon. While I love the USPS for efficiency and convenience, I just couldn't make it to the Post Office before it closed. Because my route home was Guilford to East Haven, Ship-Rite was one of two really accessible choices. I called ahead and found that they were indeed open. (They even wound up staying a few minutes past closing.) I found them easily, just off Route 1 - you can practically see it from the door of the Parthenon Diner. Good location. Free, easily-accessible parking in a clear, well-lit lot. The sign on the door says that they offer notary services as well as shipping. A gentleman named Jon waited on me. He asked the same questions that the Post Office asks about the contents of the package. He chatted in a friendly manner (as opposed to the tone of an honestly overworked postal worker). I DID NOT find this at all nosy (as another reviewer had said) - and this chatting reminded me of the batteries I'd included and about which I had totally forgotten. That changed the way my niece's new crystal ball would travel and I'm REALLY glad that he caught it. Another gentleman, Ed, came out and introduced himself. I introduced the topic of supporting small local businesses and we spoke briefly. They have been in business since, well, since the last century. I don't understand the negative reviews because my experience was seamless. Simple transaction, and my niece got her present from Auntie Rebekah as planned. Thanks, Ship-Rite!”
“Alex was so helpful –– I came in with my husband who had just worked a night shift. It was the only time we had to submit our son's passport info – I made an appointment online, however, never hit submit, so that appointment was never really made. Alex said it was no issue but would take a little time since he would process it in between customers. We were out of there in maybe 15 minutes!”

“Its very narrow inside this postal office and pick-up your Postal Office box mail; purchase stamps and shipping out; out going mail. Besides the, customer service quality is okay. Very slow, but needs improvement on business ethics on staff.”
“I actually love that this post office is conveniently in the center of town and feels safe. When my boyfriend was deployed they helped me figure out how to send packages and even though it took a while to get through the labeling process, they didn't complain like other post offices. Here, though the staffing was limited I didn't feel like a burden. The line wait time can be long especially depends on time of day -- but that's at every post office. And there may not be an easy drive thru drop off but I've never had issues just walking inside to drop mail after hours at the designated box. I don't think many people who have a good experiences leave enough reviews compared to when there's an issue so I wanted to leave a good note.”

He took time out of his morning to make my toddler smile by giving her a junior postmaster sticker and talking with her about her sesame street abby cadabby doll. 10/10 will use this post office for all my mail needs moving forward. Kindness is missing too often in this world”
“While this location is sometimes understaffed I think, all the employees have been super kind and helpful to me, even going so far as to request a postal worker return to my house to drop off a package I had missed that needed signing! They work really hard to get through the line as fast as possible and really help everyone out.”

“So far it’s the best in west haven although they should consider doing passports separately, it takes too long waiting half an hour to just mail stuff , not fair to other customers, this place need one person to do just passport and others to help non passport customers. Victoria, Giselle, and Frank are awesome, professional and fast doing their best.”
